Yay! Agility is back.

We are pleased to announce that Living with Dogs is partnering with Mardi Richmond (of Good Dog Santa Cruz) to bring you Agility foundations classes and a recreation agility program. We are going to start classes in July, and are planning to add additional classes in August and September.

If you are interested in joining us go to livingwithdogs.us and sign up. If you are too late for this session, sign up for our interest list so we can let you know about future classes.

Sundays @ 1:00pm, OCT. 17th - NOV 21ST
Explore the fun basics of “ball driving” and you will learn the skills to play Treibball (pronounced try-ball) a cross between soccer and billiards where you are the goalie and your dog is the player.

Puppies get to socialize and play in a safe environment when they attend our puppy class. Relaxing in the shade and taking it all in is another option as well.

Relax is a good thing to train your dog!

I LOVE the lay on your side with your head on the ground "Zen Doggy" behavior and can see so many uses for it. Lovely start for impulse control for young dogs, great for the vets office and awesome for acupuncture at our holistic vets office, great for toenail clipping and grooming, foxtail checks, tick checks, ear drops and just hanging out together. Add more duration and you have a beautiful, relaxed stay. What other situations would this help you with?

Which of these four dogs is the least stressed?

Have you seen your dog do this? Lip licking in combination with ears back or staring can be a stress displacement signal. If we see in our Reactive Rover classes, it tells us the dog needs to be further from the trigger. This type of lip lick is quite different than licking peanut butter. Which of these four dogs is the least stressed?
