This fund helps provide care for horses and other large animals that are affected by natural disasters. They are currently assisting the horses from Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, OK. Our thoughts go out to all of those affected by the tornadoes this season.

Happy Veterinary Receptionist week to our CSR team, Kelsi, Alexis, and Taylor (also our practice manager). They work very hard to take care of our clients and patients, along with the rest of our team. They are multitaskers. They tend to wear many different hats throughout the course of each day, to meet many different needs.
They are an amazing group of women, and this week we celebrate them!

The Lori Hoover Memorial Pet Fund

Lori Hoover, our former practice manager, recently passed away after a brave battle with ovarian cancer. Lori had a bond with animals that not many people are fortunate enough to have, which made her an invaluable part of the team here at PVC. She dedicated her professional career in the veterinary field to advocating for animals both big and small and knew that each one was important and worth fighting for. She was passionate about educating pet owners on how best to care for their pets, comforting our animals during checkups, procedures, and surgeries, as well as managing the day-to-day tasks and the staff of Perkins Veterinary Clinic. Our motto here at PVC has always been to “Do What is Best for the Pet”, and Lori strived to make that a reality. We all know that veterinary care can become expensive, and so to honor Lori and her 28 years of dedication to our team and your pets, we have created the Lori Hoover Memorial Fund. This fund will be used to help pets on an individual basis when there is need for a little extra financial help to be able to provide them with the best possible care. We ask that anyone who wants to honor Lori contribute any amount they can to the fund, and hope that we can use this resource to continue Lori’s work of looking out for all animals that come across our path that are in need of our help.
