So happy FCI finally accepted phantom poodles! Black and tan and the variations of the tan points is finally allowed in FCI registration and shows 🥳 we recently saw somebody show the first black phantom in a FCI show and my goodness what a moment in history!

We love our black and tan with merle markings 🩵🖤🧡
We are currently waiting for testing on her D locus testing results. Her mama is a dilute but her testing came back as non dilute carrier 😱 after further research we learned that chihuahuas can carry a rare d3 variant.

There are 3 different dilute variants - d1, d2, and d3.

The d1 is the common type, d2 is found in Sloughi, Chow Chow, Thai Ridgeback dogs, and some Frenchies, and the more rare d3 is detected in the Italian Greyhound, Chihuahua, Mudi, Pumi, Shih Tzu, Pekingese, Tibetan Mastiff, Yorkshire Terrier, Shetland Sheepdog, indigenous dogs, and wolf-dog hybrids.

Since the chihuauha breed is known to carry the more rare d3 gene we are curious to see what Tacos genetics 🧬 look like with further testing. 🤓

Her name is Shiro which means white in Japanese. When she was first born we thought she was solid white but later noticed 2 small blue spots and genetically we know she’s a tricolor. Further testing shows she’s a dilute blue merle tricolor (extreme parti) 😱 such a gem 💎

Mama cupcake is a Brazilian import 🇧🇷 and daddy Chip is a Korean import 🇰🇷
