🐾 Featured Pets: Banana & Winnie 🐾

This week we’re doubling the cuteness with sister pups Banana and Winnie almost 8-month-old Rottweilers who are equal parts sweet, silly, and still figuring out how big they actually are.

Banana has mastered the art of affection. During her visit, she proudly claimed the role of personal foot warmer, stretching herself across feet while soaking up all the love and attention. A true professional cuddler.

Winnie, on the other paw, brings the action. She’s been known to launch herself from one piece of furniture to another like she’s auditioning for the WWE. High energy, big moves, zero regrets.

Despite their different styles, both girls are incredibly sweet and still have plenty of growing left to do. We can’t wait to watch these sisters continue to blossom into the amazing dogs they’re becoming. 🖤🤎

Featured Patient: Peppi 🐾

If there were an award for Most Likely to Believe She’s Still a Lapdog, Peppi would take it home. 💕

At 15 weeks old, this Golden Retriever–Australian Shepherd mix is already full of personality. According to her mom, Peppi loves:

Playing with her big brother Morty (a miniature dachshund who clearly runs the house 😝)

Chasing ice cubes… and then promptly eating them

Making sure she’s always touching her people — even as she realizes she’s growing out of lapdog status

Sweet, playful, and already mastering the art of affection, Peppi is one lucky (and very loved) gal.

🐾 Did You Know?

Ticks don’t actually take a winter break.
According to the temperature chart, ticks become active at just 35°F and in places like the Midwest, we hit that temperature in nearly every month of the year.

That means:
✔️ Even when it feels chilly to us, ticks are awake
✔️ Pets can be exposed during “off-season” walks
✔️ Year-round prevention is the safest way to protect your dog

If your pet isn’t on consistent flea & tick protection (like Credelio Quattro®, which stops ticks and protects against heartworm, roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms), give us a call at 419-445-0207. We’re happy to help you keep them protected every month.

🐶🛡️ Cold outside doesn’t mean tick-free.

✈️🎅 Traveling for the holidays? Here’s your reminder!

Most boarding facilities require dogs to be current on their Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, and without it, they may not be able to stay.

If your dog needs an update, we’ve got you covered.

📞 Give us a call to schedule before you travel!
Safe dog, safe trip, happy holidays. 🐾❤️

🎄🐾 Christmas Pet Safety Tips 🐾🎄
The holidays are magical… but they come with a few hidden dangers for our furry friends. Keep your season merry (and emergency-free) with these quick reminders:

🍪 Watch the Snacks
Chocolate, xylitol (in sugar-free candy), grapes/raisins, onions, garlic, and rich holiday foods are all unsafe for pets.

🎁 Decor Is Not a Toy
Ribbon, tinsel, ornaments, and string lights can cause serious blockages if swallowed.

🕯️ Cozy, But Careful
Candles, wax warmers, and space heaters can be knocked over by curious tails and paws.

🌿 Holiday Plants Can Be Toxic
Poinsettias, holly, mistletoe, and lilies should stay completely out of reach.

🚪 Door Dashers on High Alert
With guests coming and going, be mindful of escape-artists making a quick getaway.

✨ A little extra awareness goes a long way in keeping your pets safe this Christmas.
From all of us at Pondview — we wish you a cozy, joyful, and safe holiday season! 🎅🏽

🐾 Featured Pet Wednesday 🐾

Meet Rosie, a 1-year-old medium mixed-breed with the face of an angel and the heart of a protector. We’re not totally sure what her mix is… but our official guess is part sweetheart mixed with loveable watchdog.

Her family says she:
🐔 Keeps a watchful eye on the chickens
🚶‍♀️ Makes late-night walks feel safe
🎭 And uses that adorable innocent face to get her way

She can do a few tricks too, but her greatest talent might just be being exactly where she’s needed most, especially at the front door when her people come home.

Rosie, you are loyal, brave, and dangerously cute. We’re obsessed. 💛

❄️ Did You Know? ❄️
Snow globes may look harmless and magical, but many of them are actually filled with ethylene glycol, the same ingredient found in antifreeze. It has a sweet smell and taste that can attract pets, but even a small amount can be dangerous.

If one breaks:
• Keep pets far away from the area
• Wipe up every drop
• Toss any contaminated towels or cleaning materials
• Make sure tiny glass pieces are fully swept up

To play it safe, store snow globes up high and out of curious paws’ reach.

Stay cozy and keep those fur-babies safe this season!
