Longezia Jacob's Sheep

Longezia Jacob's Sheep Jacob Sheep Breeder Longezia means "Blessing" in Tonga. This is our Blessing flock. Our sheep are all registered Jacob's Sheep a heritage breed.

This breed is known for its wool prized by handspinners and flavorful meat. To find out more about the breed go to JSBA.org or the JSBA page. We will as available offer limited lamb products as well as one of a kind hand spun and woven items. We also will offer registered breeding stock from time to time.

Good morning!!! 1 week until expecting lambs. Winter storm came in early this AM-sleet and cold. As would be expected one of our ewes had her lambs without notifying us( HaHa). Momma and babies are doing well- safe and warm in the barn. The midwifes Dolly and Molly (the LGD"S) did a wonderful job.

Lambing has been done for a few weeks now. A small crop( 7) as planned. We couldn't bear to have no lambs but knew we couldn't manage a bunch this year. Lambs are doing well-love to watch them play. Joe managed to get a picture of one playing in the wood pile.
