🐾 Exciting News! 🐾
As many of you know, my family is growing — and it’s almost time for me to welcome our newest little one into the world. 💕👶
Starting Friday, September 19th (afternoon), I’ll be going on maternity leave in preparation to welcome our little guy and adjust to this new adventure. While I’ll miss all my wonderful clients — both furry and human — I know you’re in great hands with our amazing team here at Archer Animal Hospital.
If you need care or have questions while I’m away, don’t worry — our dedicated staff is here to help every step of the way. 🩺🐶🐱
Thank you all for your continued support, understanding, and kind wishes. I look forward to returning mid December with stories, smiles, and maybe a few sleepless nights under my belt! 😉
With gratitude,
Hilary Bush, DVM

🐾 September is Animal Pain Awareness Month 🐾
Our pets can’t tell us when they’re hurting — but they do show signs.
Changes in behavior, limping, decreased appetite, or even just hiding more often could be signs your furry friend is in pain.
🎯 Pain is not a normal part of aging.
Whether it’s arthritis, dental issues, injury, or illness — pain can and should be treated.
👉 This month, let’s raise awareness and advocate for better pain recognition and relief for animals everywhere.
🩺 Talk to your vet.
💡 Learn the signs.
💙 Keep them comfortable.

EXCITING NEWS! Dr. Devon Strickland DVM, DACT will be joining our team next week!

Dr. Devon Strickland grew up in New England and California before attending Smith College for her undergraduate degree in Biology. She is a 1999 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and did her senior clinical year at Washington State University. She was an equine practitioner for 20 years in Marion, Levy and Sumter counties, before converting to small animal practice in Alachua 7 years ago. She is also a Diplomat of the American College of Theriogenology, achieved in 2006.

Dr. Strickland strives for a collaborative relationship with pet owners and loves to watch her patients grow up. She enjoys the variety of general practice, but her areas of interest are gastrointestinal health, endocrine disease, dermatology and keeping geriatric patients healthy and comfortable through their “golden years”.

She has three house cats (she's a big feline fan!), two dogs and a duck named Tanya (Ducker).

She loves to adventure travel with her family, especially to places with elevation, and to garden, exercise, listen to live music and enjoy the local springs and rivers.

She comes to us from a busy rural practice in northern Alachua County and is looking forward to making Archer Animal Hospital her new home!

Please call us if you would like to schedule your pet's next visit with this AWESOME veterinarian! (352) 495-2910
