BREAKING! We are SO excited to introduce our newest medical team member: Liv Stamey ()! Liv grew up in Leicester & has a diverse work background that includes over 5 years in Asheville veterinary community! She is currently back in school to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. (T-minus ~6 months until her graduation 🎓)

We are proud of her & her commitment to further her veterinary education! Her knowledge will strengthen our team & our commitment to bringing you the best veterinary care in Asheville!

There has been tremendous love and support to WNC from many inside and outside of our region. In Henderson County, they've asked to stop donations. Around our hospital in Asheville, we are also starting to see an over-supply of donations. Yes, there are still folks out there hurting, struggling, and in need of basic things. And rest assured, there are wonderful folks out helping connect people to resources.

At this time we begin to explore the idea of what happens next. It's easy to go with the flow, to join the crowd. That's human nature. But what happens to Asheville & WNC when the attention is off our region? People will still be left hurting, sorting things out, and figuring out what to do.

So with this, we challenge you to set a reminder for yourself. One in 30 days, one in 60 days, and the last in 90 days. A simple, "Check-in on the Asheville area. Find & give something small to someone in need."

Many people lost loved ones, lost their houses and/or business, and/or had major damage to either or both. As we slowly enter the rebuild phase, needs will begin to change. Please, Please, Please reach out and support someone or something you care about! A little can go a long way!

To our staff – We're flipped on our heads and figuring it all out. You're the rockstars and Asheville is proud of your sacrifice with your time & energy to help pets in need. We couldn't do this without YOU.

To those in need – We're here to help in any way we can. We are doing our best to move systems to stabilize our phone & hospital systems. We've been working with our amazing vendors since day one to replenish our medical supplies. Our first arrival came yesterday! Thank you & spread the word to pets in need.

🌟Bark Alert!🌟

We’ll be taking a much-needed break to recharge, so our hospital will be closed from Friday, August 30th through Monday, September 2nd. We'll be back and ready to help you at 8 AM on Tuesday, September 3rd.

If you need to order or pick up your pets prescription, let us know, and we’ll have it ready for you to pick up on Thursday before 5 PM.

In case of any pet emergencies over the weekend, please reach out to SAVES or VEG in South Asheville, or Western Carolina in Flat Rock.

The grind @mybrightvet last week was real. We had a full-schedule with cases varying from surgery & dentals to urgent care. We meet a lot of new puppies & kittens. In the little downtime we had we were busy following up on our clients, including two medication deliveries.
