Congratulations to Dayzee Tovar and “Fergie” for having a winning day at the Denton County Youth Fair! (her county show). This team won Champion Hampshire, Champion Native Bred Breeding Ewe and was the overall Grand Champion Breeding Ewe! These two were a fine tuned duo! Fergie has matured beautifully and Dayzee exhibited her perfectly. Thank you to judge Denton Lowe for appreciated this ewe lambs quality. (Dayzee also went on to win Grand Champion with her market wether!). I am excited to see this team continue on in the show ring!!!

As I sat by the pool yesterday, I received a great surprise! Congratulations to Oaklee Robinson on her Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb win at the Wylie Spooktacular yesterday! Esmond Club Lambs had a great day today at the North Texas Fair & Rodeo. Oakley Goodner and Zinyeta won Supreme Champion Breeding Ewe! This ewe has matured so nicely and I’m excited to see this team show at upcoming majors! This yearling ewe was our pick show ewe from the 2022 crop. (This pair also won Grand Champion Market and Breeding ewe at my 3rd Annual Esmond Club Lamb show.).

Thank you to Oakley and the entire Goodner team for keeping this ewe at her peak and for always presenting her so beautifully! This is our third year in a row to win this show!!

Good luck Oakley in the remainder of this show season. You ALWAYS make me proud!!

Congratulations to Kayden Ferguson on his placements recently with this Say No More x Legit ewe lamb. He placed 8th in a huge (58)hamp ewe lamb class at San Antonio and was 5th in the ewe lamb class at San Angelo. It was amazing to see this ewe lamb place in such tough competition at these Texas major breeding shows. Good luck to you both at upcoming shows and your county show!

Today brings up many fond memories of my breeding ewes being exhibited at the San Antonio Livestock Show. Nine years ago, Taylor Swinson showed “Dyna” and was the Reserve Supreme Breeding Ewe (and Reserve champion Hampshire). Today brings new memories. Two of her granddaughters showed and placed well today. Congratulations to Oakley Goodner with her 3rd place class 4 commercial ewe and to Presley Goodner with her 4th place class 5 commercial ewe lamb. It is great to continue to see how Dyna has influenced my entire breeding program. I have retained several daughters and granddaughters in my flock and I am looking forward to this years lamb crop! Strong genetics run deep through these ewe lambs! Congratulation Goodner Girls!!

Congratulations to the Goodner girls for their placements at the San Antonio Livestock Show today! Oakley was 3rd in class 4 and Presley was 4th in class 5 commercial ewe lamb classes. These two Say No More ewe lambs are awesome and both have great futures in the show season. To say I am proud of these two girls and their ewe lambs is an understatement. Thank you to their parents Nathan and Misty for your constant support of these girls and my breeding program!

Today I had my 3rd annual Esmond Club Lamb Showcase. The competition was tough and these shows are a great opportunity for me to evaluate the majority of my lamb crop each year!

Grand Champion Market Lamb and Grand Champion Breeding Ewe was exhibited by Oakley Goodner! The Reserve Grand Champion Market and Breeding Ewe were exhibited by Lainey Scott. Presley Goodner showed the 3rd overall Breeding Ewe and Emma Hauprich showed the 3rd overall Market Lamb.

I wanted to say a huge congratulations to Mason Quinn on his Class 1 win today at the Texas State Fair! My breeding program has won several classes at all the states major breeding ewe shows but never a market class!

This wether is out of Say No More x Legit. Mason campaigned her dam two years ago and she returned for breeding and her lamb certainly did not disappoint!

Thank you to Darick Chabot and Brenden Benson for breeding this buck and allowing me to purchase him last year. I am excited to see the rest of his offspring mature through this show season.

Thanks also to Kandi Sue and her KS PEMP Performance Therapy company for helping get this young lamb ready!

I normally never get around to posting young lamb photos but once we cleaned up some of these I felt they needed to be seen. They are not all shined up and polished (or fat enough) for a sale but are just rough sheared, weaned and banded. I am very happy with the lambs out of my Say When buck lamb that I purchased from Chabot. If your looking for your next show wether or breeding ewe, give me a call!

They say better late than never! Well my buckles finally arrived today. Last year I was very happy with my buckles and the service the young man gave me. I ordered for this years show and it was one excuse after another. Supposedly they were delivered and lost but he never offered to reorder or anything. So needless to say - I had to reorder them from another company. Sheridan Buckle sure came through!!! The customer service was awesome and I will certainly be a repeat customer!

I held my second annual showcase and I posted photos and winners back in January. Well finally I now have some cool buckles to give all of these young ladies!

Well it’s that time of year again! Lambing season started tonight! This is the time of year where you’re exciting to see how your breeding plans turned out. But it’s the most worrisome time as well! Big lambs, poorly presented lambs and multiple births make for some increased anxiety for the next 6 weeks. This is the first lamb out of my new ram raised by Chabot named “Say No More”! He’s a big buck lamb so we are off and running. Wish me luck! (He’s about 15 minutes old in the video)
