Texas Old English Sheepdog Rescue, Inc.

TxOESR, Inc. is a group of volunteers who give their time and love to the rescued Sheepdogs who come into our program.

We receive Old English Sheepdogs from both owner surrenders and shelters. Additionally, we coordinate with other rescue organizations throughout the United States, it‘s territories, Canada, and Mexico. We offer education and support to all who care for and love this breed. Many of our rescue Sheepdogs are in good health, but for whatever reason, need to find new homes. Occasionally, we receive a

dog in need of medical attention who we nurse back to health prior to placement. While the fee for adoption usually offsets any expenses that we may encounter with our dogs, this is not always the case. We rely on membership dues, donations, grants, and fund raisers to provide funding for these expenses. After an evaluation period in a foster home, adopted Sheepdogs arrive at their new, forever adoptive home with the following: medical history, microchip, vaccinations, groomed, spayed/neutered, heartworm negative (or treatment provided), parasite free and housebroken. It is our goal to have happy, healthy sheepdogs leaving our program with a brighter future for tomorrow. The credibility of an organization comes from years of stability which is built on a solid foundation of integrity and the reputation of the people who serve it.

Here we go again folks! We have a new sheepie to save. Picked up as a stray out in the country in the DFW area. We only have this one picture and know that he is a male and very friendly.

FIRST POINT ………Thank you all for the outpouring of love and support for Berry the sheepie that was left behind when his owners evacuated! It means the world to us.

We will be evaluating offers today to find him the right foster fit.

SECOND POINT…….We are always in need of volunteers, fosters and adopters. We have been overwhelmed by the numbers of dogs that have needed our help in just the last year. We welcome folks willing to help with any aspect of rescue, from transporting, fostering even to adopting. We have dogs we cannot adopt out yet as we give them time to decompress. We have new incoming dogs that are available for adoption but are not even posted on our website site yet. Ask us…….we might have the perfect sheepie for you. And we still have some sheepadoodle puppies without commitments that are old enough to be separated. We need to move them into foster homes soon. Anyone want to foster a sheepadoodle puppy?

Emergency short term or long term foster needed in the Houston area OR outside if you are willing to pick him up! Sheepie left by owners when they evacuated for Hurricane Beryl and left him behind.
