We’re calling them the Lucky Litter, but we’re pretty sure we’re actually the lucky ones!🍀

Hoarding is a chronic crisis in animal welfare, especially in Texas. No matter what the cause (and there can be many), the one common denominator is suffering.

Humane Tomorrow is working hard on both ends of this problem — the heartbreaking response, daily care, veterinary treatment, and adoption of these animals AND preventing this kind of suffering from happening in the first place.

We need patient fosters, committed volunteers, and generous donors in order to continue fulfilling our mission and ensuring that Tomorrow really is more Humane for the animals we all love.

👋 Meet Snickers, One of three snack time kittens! He is brother to beautiful Doodle who is also available for adoption.

🐈‍⬛ He enjoys all kinds of play time. He is more of the adventurer compared to sister Doodle. His Mom Twix was a great mom giving them a great start in life. But now it's his turn to find the best home!

✨Our pup this week is Simon!
🐶Simon is a 1-year-old Collie/Boxer mix. He has the goofiness of a Boxer, the smarts of a Collie, and the energy level of both.
🏃Simon is super athletic, and would be a great running, walking or hiking partner. He would be a great candidate for agility training too.
🐕He is adorable, playful, funny, curious, and affectionate. He gets along with most other dogs as long there are proper introductions. He would also be just fine as an only dog, as long as he gets plenty of attention, exercise and play time

🐾Psssstttttt........we have some special news! This Lucky Litter recently became part of the Humane Tomorrow family. These cuties were part of a seizure due to hoarding, but they are on to a much better life with a more Humane Tomorrow!🐾

💔These poor sweeties came in matted, covered in fleas and missing large sections of hair, likely from scratching at hundreds of fleas. But no more living in terrible conditions for them - they are already on the mend and looking so much better. They are currently staying at our building in Argyle and being cared for several times a day by our amazing team of volunteers.

🐕Taking care of a large amount of pups requires a lot of supplies and we need to restock! If you are so inclined, the items below can be dropped off or shipped to 1961 E., Hickory Hill Rd., Argyle, TX 76226. Thank you for your support!

🙏 This , Twix is thankful to have found Humane Tomorrow for her and her kittens (Popcorn, Snickers, and Doodle), but now she's ready to find her forever home!

🥰 Twix (or Trixie as she is often called) was a very young teen mom, and is still very playful. She is very affectionate and loves to be near people. She will follow you around and come when you call her name.

😺 She also enjoys having conversations with my foster Mom and when she comes home from work. She gets along with the resident cats in her foster home and may do well with a dog.

🐶 She's guaranteed to keep you entertained with her silly antics. For example, she's figured out that if she steals her foster mom's straw, her foster mom will chase after her and give her a treat when she gives the straw back.

😊 Here's another furbaby making his debut, Ducky!

🦆 Ducky is a 4 month old, 15 lb Blue Heeler mix. He is just the cutest thing with his black eye patches and his sprinkling of black speckles. Ducky is a playful, smart, curious, cuddly, tail-wagging puppy.

🐶 He gets along with all of his littermates as well as the resident dogs in his foster home. Like all puppies, Ducky will need some training, supervision, good sturdy toys, and lots of cuddles and attention.

☀️🥵 Just a friendly reminder with all this heat, be careful of your dog's feet.
Always keep in mind the surface your dog will be walking on.
🍳 An egg can fry in 5 minutes at 131 degrees.
🔥If the air temperature is 86 degrees, the asphalt can heat to 135 degrees.
Remember...if it's too hot for your bare feet, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

🐈Who is ready to celebrate Feline Friday???🐈‍⬛

🐾Here at Humane Tomorrow we try to provide as much support as possible to our foster homes. We have lots of cat fosters and that means feeding wet and dry food, cat litter, toys, all sorts of fun things to keep those kitties busy!

💜We have loads and loads of toys but sure could use some food donations and kitty litter donations. 💜💜Today's Thankful Thursday post is THE BEST story ever!💜💜

🐕‍🦺Rizzo was adopted from Humane Tomorrow four years ago and in 2022 he escaped from his adopter's car and has been missing since. For two years they have been searching for him and have remained heartbroken that he was gone.

🥰Last week they got a call from the local shelter. A good samaritan had found Rizzo and they did the right thing and took him to a shelter where they scanned him for a microchip and he was reunited with his adoptive family!!!

❗️This is why it is crucial to microchip your animals and why Humane Tomorrow microchips every animal in our program. And this also is a great example of why the first thing we recommend when you find an animal is to take them to your local shelter because they will scan them for a microchip and it's often the very first place an owner goes to find their lost pets.

🥳We are unbelievably happy that Rizzo was reunited with his very loving family! Here's a photo of him all comfy in his bed that he's been missing for two very long years!

🌠 This week, Webster is having a !

🐶 Webster is a 3 month old, 8 lb Poodle/Schnauzer mix and 100% Scruffy Cuteness! He is the perfect combination of active, chill, and snuggly. Webster is a smart puppy, and he is ready to learn lots of new things, especially when a treat reward is offered. He has yet to meet a human, dog, or cat that he doesn't love and wants to befriend.

🐾 This , we'd like to introduce you to Meeka and Tilly! Meeka and Tilly are both 3 month old tabby girls.

💞 Tilly loves to be petted, play with all her toys, and nap the day away. Her foster mom says she has the cutest little meow as she's still finding her voice

✨ Meeka can be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you, she'll be all love and fun. Her foster mom says she's a bit of a diva. She loves to run inside tunnels, chase small balls, and sneak up on her sister Tilly.

😸 Meeka and Tilly would love to be adopted together as they are bonded. They'd be a good starter pair as they come with a built in playmate.

🐾 It's time for Mercy Fund Monday 🐾

💦 Coco loves to go swimming and she normally wears her life vest while she is still learning the lay of the land with her family's pool. Unfortunately one day when she was outside wrestling with her doggy sibling she accidentally fell in the pool and inhaled quite a bit of water. Thank goodness her mom was right there and able to get her to safety quickly and rushed her to the ER 🙏

🚑 Unfortunately, her lungs were full of fluid and she had to spend several days on oxygen at the ER. Thankfully due to the quick action of her foster-to-adopt family and the amazing care she received at Denton County Animal ER she was able to come home after a few days and is now back to her normal self - playing dress up and running around the yard!

💲Humane Tomorrow's Mercy Fund is intended to help in emergency situations such as these - unplanned expenses that come about that may run several thousand dollars. 👋 For Lotus is making his debut!

👴 Lotus is a 9 year old, 6 lb Pomeranian mix. This handsome little senior Pom lived most of his life in horrible conditions, but he is resilient, and his joyous personality has come to light since his rescue.

🐾 He loves other dogs and will do best in a home with another small dog to be his companion and playmate. He trusts other small dogs before he trusts new people, so his adopters will have to be patient and let him show affection at his own pace.

💖 Once he feels comfortable and secure, Lotus will shower his person with kisses. He will make someone a very loyal and loving companion.

🔊🐶North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) is coming up on 9/19 and we'd like to tell you a little a little story and ask for your help saving change so that you can make a HUGE impact on NTGD.
❤On 7/9/18, a dog named Larry walked into our lives. He was perfect, imperfect, charismatic, awkward, distant yet loving. Everyone adored him. He was just THAT kind of dog. We've all known one of THOSE kind of dogs, right?
😥No one had ever taken the time to be nice to Larry and when he entered his HT foster home he thought he had hit the jackpot! Trips to Whataburger, Starbucks, you name it, he loved it!
🐶Larry tested positive for heartworms and received treatment through HT. On 12/22/18 he was given a clean bill of health.
😥Out of the blue, Larry just started to die that night. He went to the emergency hospital where they ran a multitude of tests to try to figure out what was wrong with his body. From ultrasounds to bone marrow taps to blood transfusions, HT threw the book at this mystery illness, yet none of the testing was conclusive.
😥On 12/28, after spending over $10,000 and trying everything in their power to save him, Larry passed away peacefully in the ER with his new family by his side.
🩺Larry's care was made possible by our Mercy Fund, which is meant to help animals that have extensive medical issues.
👀Larry's foster went one step further realizing that there will always be another animal in need. She decided to start saving all of her coins and putting them in a jar on her desk labeled "Lincolns For Larry". She encouraged her friends to do the same and jars/rolls of coins started showing up from everywhere!
✅Now each North Texas Giving Day, Larry's foster mom hosts a Lincolns For Larry coin rolling party. Over the years, their coin rolling efforts have raised almost $5,000 on NTGD!
👉Let's step up our game AGAIN and encourage people to start saving coins NOW in preparation for NTGD’s Lincolns For Larry coin rolling party. Start saving NOW and as always we appreciate your support! When it gets closer to NTGD we will let everyone know where and when they can drop all of the coins off that they've collected and we are hoping to see swarms of people show up!

❄ She recently made the move with them to Michigan and is loving the cooler weather. She's doing great with her new dog sister Brandy.

😸 ! Earlier this week you saw Tutti, now meet his BFF Tiki.

🐈‍⬛ Tiki Turner is one year old, and his coloring his so unique and beautiful looking black in some light and brown in others.
💕 Tiki has a big personality and loves to play with Tutti (they have been inseparable since Tiki arrived in the foster home).
🐾 He also gets along well with his other feline foster and has been known, on occasion, to curl up in bed with his foster mom.
😽 Tikis is a sweet guy who would love to wiggle his way into your life.
