We would like to provide everyone with an update at this time on the current standing of the business, harassment and false accusations from Sherry Cullen
Unfortunately, it has not stopped. She still continues to call, post and harass me and others clients on a daily basis. This continues to happen Despite having proven her claims to be 100% false via:
- vet paperwork stating it was a cancerous mass attached to her ribs not broken ribs
- a signed Euthanasia agreement by Sherry and the Vet stating she’s Euthanizing the dog due to cancer symptoms and depressed attitude
- the fact that she cannot provide any paperwork stating that I killed her dog from the vet or any other agency
- the fact that any dog living 46 days after all her ribs were broken is physically impossible according to sciences and reality,
- the facts she wanted to hire me again after the dog had already passed alway for the other dog she had at the time.
She has also lied about being on hospice care and having cancer which in itself is absolutely evil. I tried calling APS thinking she was not receiving proper care but it turns out she not on hospice at all and she refused their services. As many of you also know …. my mother and multiple family members have passed within the last couple years and dealt with cancer so having her lie to me as an excuse for her disgusting behavior really broke me. Sherry knew this about my family and decided to take advantage of what I told her and lie about being sick which in turn made me feel bad for her and not pursue a defamation case sooner.
She is obviously mentally ill as she proven via her voice messages, post, texts, physical threats towards me and my own animals, lying and inappropriate behavior.
That being said, because she is mentally ill … there is not much the police, the lawyer or even any judge can do.
The police see this as a civil matter even though I’ve told them I don’t feel safe and she insists on finding where I live and threatened to harm me physically on multiple occasion’s … apparently that’s just not harassment enough. She has to physically hurt me or make a physical appearance at my residence or where I am.
My lawyer knows we would win the case for defamation and slander but the amount of money we would have to spend versus the reward of her getting convicted of defamation and slander wouldn’t even be worth it as they will likely just institutionalize her for a short time and the harassment would just continue once she is released even if there was an injunction put in place … she is too mentally ill to follow one and would still call.
It’s a devastating thought and frustrating to know that there will be no Justice or repercussions for what she done besides the injunction for harassment … but at this point … I have to try to move on past it in spite of her constant post, berating and harassing. I can’t let her win and not run the business.
That being said, we are excepting returning clients starting next week just in time for the Christmas season. I also have changed my contact information.
We will release our new price list and grooming waiver agreement in a couple days so that you can all be aware of the changes and what you are signing.
Also Friendly reminder, all dogs will be required to have a waiver form signed prior to grooming either electronically or on paper! No exceptions!
We thank you for your patience, good vibes and continued support during this difficult season for the business. It’s something you never think will happen until it does and I just hope the business and I can move passed this even though it’s just not fair … Sometimes that’s just how life is.
I do this for the dogs and everyone knows that. Not the people or the money and it’s unfortunate when people have to ruin things and prices have to be raises and new rules have to be put in place because of them but at least we will be back open.
