We would like to provide everyone with an update at this time on the current standing of the business, harassment and false accusations from Sherry Cullen

Unfortunately, it has not stopped. She still continues to call, post and harass me and others clients on a daily basis. This continues to happen Despite having proven her claims to be 100% false via:
- vet paperwork stating it was a cancerous mass attached to her ribs not broken ribs
- a signed Euthanasia agreement by Sherry and the Vet stating she’s Euthanizing the dog due to cancer symptoms and depressed attitude
- the fact that she cannot provide any paperwork stating that I killed her dog from the vet or any other agency
- the fact that any dog living 46 days after all her ribs were broken is physically impossible according to sciences and reality,
- the facts she wanted to hire me again after the dog had already passed alway for the other dog she had at the time.

She has also lied about being on hospice care and having cancer which in itself is absolutely evil. I tried calling APS thinking she was not receiving proper care but it turns out she not on hospice at all and she refused their services. As many of you also know …. my mother and multiple family members have passed within the last couple years and dealt with cancer so having her lie to me as an excuse for her disgusting behavior really broke me. Sherry knew this about my family and decided to take advantage of what I told her and lie about being sick which in turn made me feel bad for her and not pursue a defamation case sooner.

She is obviously mentally ill as she proven via her voice messages, post, texts, physical threats towards me and my own animals, lying and inappropriate behavior.

That being said, because she is mentally ill … there is not much the police, the lawyer or even any judge can do.

The police see this as a civil matter even though I’ve told them I don’t feel safe and she insists on finding where I live and threatened to harm me physically on multiple occasion’s … apparently that’s just not harassment enough. She has to physically hurt me or make a physical appearance at my residence or where I am.

My lawyer knows we would win the case for defamation and slander but the amount of money we would have to spend versus the reward of her getting convicted of defamation and slander wouldn’t even be worth it as they will likely just institutionalize her for a short time and the harassment would just continue once she is released even if there was an injunction put in place … she is too mentally ill to follow one and would still call.

It’s a devastating thought and frustrating to know that there will be no Justice or repercussions for what she done besides the injunction for harassment … but at this point … I have to try to move on past it in spite of her constant post, berating and harassing. I can’t let her win and not run the business.

That being said, we are excepting returning clients starting next week just in time for the Christmas season. I also have changed my contact information.

We will release our new price list and grooming waiver agreement in a couple days so that you can all be aware of the changes and what you are signing.
Also Friendly reminder, all dogs will be required to have a waiver form signed prior to grooming either electronically or on paper! No exceptions!

We thank you for your patience, good vibes and continued support during this difficult season for the business. It’s something you never think will happen until it does and I just hope the business and I can move passed this even though it’s just not fair … Sometimes that’s just how life is.

I do this for the dogs and everyone knows that. Not the people or the money and it’s unfortunate when people have to ruin things and prices have to be raises and new rules have to be put in place because of them but at least we will be back open.

I didn’t get the chance to put the shop on the map this year like normal with all the craziness going on but we are still gonna celebrate Halloween like we do every year! ❤️💀

We will have Candy for the kids, Dog Treats for the pups and Jello Shots for the adults from 5:30pm-9:30pm tonight at the shop. We’re located in the 13211 Complex on South Kin Circle in Arizona City. Look for our Witch and Gremlin Inflatables. My pups will also be there to show off their costumes ❤️

To everyone that has sent over the multiple threatening messages that this person continues to post in local groups and send directly to you guys … I appreciate it. I never want anyone having to take the fire for me.

I would like to clear up a few things in regard to all these issues coming up …

1. This is a CIVIL CASE. The sheriffs department will not have anything to do with this case besides serving paperwork, taking statements, preforming welfare checks ect. She cannot get me arrested or even charge me with a crime. Nothing is on my record as she claims. It is a small claims matter and instead of taking it to the proper avenues she has decided to do this.

2. The sheriffs department is on my side in this issue. I have provided vet proof to them that I caused this dog no harm and she died of a mass attached to her ribs and other cancer related symptoms and explained the situation and they have told me I have done nothing wrong but they cannot do anything until it goes to court.

3. She has been served with a cease and desist and refused it from my lawyer so …. She knows she’s not supposed to be posting things based on the case but continues to.

4. This woman has misplaced grief and is obviously mentally Ill. I’ve tried getting her help via APS because she told me she was going into hospice care and I believe she is having a psychotic breakdown but she refused that help as well. While I feel for the loss of her dog, I had nothing to do with her death and ruining my business and tarnishing my reputation is inappropriate.

5. I will be trying to serve her with another cease and desist via the sherrifs department within the next few days.

We do not know when we will be reopening yet as this is taking up a lot of time, resources and honestly … my mental sanity and patience. These accusations are not only false but the harassment, threats to find where I live, constant phone calls and post are causing me to become ill, not sleep at night and ultimately fear for my safety. But hey … it’s a civil case. We appreciate your continued support and prayers as we deal with with this tough situation. 🐾❤️

Many of you might be wondering why I have not been posting over the last few months and I would like to clear the air on some current issues we as a business have pending.

Unfortunately, we have encountered an issue where a mentally ill and ailing customer has decided to accuse us of the death of her dog. She had done this even though she herself Euthanized the dog at the vet 46 days after the dog was groomed via in home mobile grooming without incident by us and she tried to rehire me again for her second dog. This accusation was out of nowhere and didn’t take place until a month after the pup had passed.

Vet paperwork states the dog was euthanized due to cancer related symptoms and no mention of grooming neglect is included in his report. I have also been cleared through grooming insurance as well since a claim had to be filed.

At this point, her review that’s been left on the page and all other comments are considered defamation and damaging towards Happy Tails as a business since I have been proven innocent. Anyone that knows me, knows I would never hurts any animal especially one in my care that I’m grooming.

She has threatened to take me to small claims court and superior court if I do not give her $1,000. She has also decided to put in a false compliant with the BBB and tried to have my buisness license revoked unjustly along with other harassing behavior.

Because of all this, My lawyer and I have decided it is best to take her to superior court and CLOSE the grooming portion of the Business temporarily while this is handled properly in front of a judge to prevent any further damage to my business by her.

That being said, I am still taking pet sitting clients at this time because that is under different insurance.

I greatly apologize for the inconvenience of having to close temporarily with such short notice and if you have/had a standing appointment with me in the last 3 months, I will be contacting you to reschedule once we are back open within the next month.

Also, because of this incident my grooming insurance will have to increase along with my base rate service prices when we do open back up so please keep that in mind if you do see a price increase in the months to come …

We’ve prided ourselves in low priced services our last 3 years of buisness and are deeply saddened by being forced to make this decision over something one customer has chosen to do. We appreciate your business and prayers during this difficult time and hope to see you soon. 🐾💜

Also … RIP Mija 🌈 💕🐾 even though things have turned out this way I still loved having you as a pup as a client and it was a joy to see you clean and taken care of. Cause lets me honest …. I don’t do this for the owners/people … I do it for the dogs … they are my real clients and I love your dogs like family while I service them every time.

I guess the time has come … I’ve avoided it as long as possible but with the amount of last minute cancellations and no shows I’ve been getting for grooming I now have to enforce a cancellation fee 😔.

When you book an appointment and cancel last minute or no-show, this not only effects me as the buisness owner but all of my other clients who are waiting on appointments or have to wait 2-3 weeks to get in. I fill up very quickly each month and it’s very inconsiderate to both me and others to cancel last minute or not show up at all.

Effective immediately, if you cancel your grooming appointment within 24 hrs of your appointment time; I will require a 20% cancellation fee of the total service cost to be put back on the schedule for another appointment.

This must be paid in full before your next appointment or you will be taken off the schedule.

No-shows to appointment will not be able to be reschduled at all and you will have to find another groomer.

No exceptions to the 20% cancellation fee or no show policy will be made regardless of circumstances.

My time is valuable and I cannot continue to let myself, regulars and new clients suffer due to people being inconsiderate of others. We thank you for your understanding and your continued support of our buisness.

It is with great sadness in my heart that I announce the passing of old man Eli, one of my most beloved regulars here in the salon and for pet sitting. 💔😭 He was such a good boy for his haircuts and gave the best cuddles. He was one of the first pups is worked on when I started Happy Tails and watching him age has been both bittersweet and yet a privilege to be apart of his journey as his dog groomer . RIP Eli you will be missed and I’m glad you are no longer suffering

Our monthly $7 Mobile Nail Trim Day will be held on July 10th from 8am-6pm and includes the Arizona City, Casa Grande and Coolidge Area! We have 14 available slots and they will fill quickly!

Let us come to you to take care of your pups nails instead of putting them in the car and driving to a typical salon or having a mobile unit come out, without breaking the bank as well! We are fear free certified and work with dogs that don’t enjoy having their nails trimmed on a regular basis.

This service does require me to enter your home or property so keep that in mind. Here are the times available for each area I will be visiting. Up to 4 dogs can be booked in a time slot per household.

We are finally laying my mom to rest in Oregon my spreading her ashes next week so we will be closed. I will not be answering any phone calls, text messages or requests.

Thank you for understanding and thank you to all my wonderful clients who greeted her when dropping your pets off, talked with her, said prayers for her, brought meals over, and were a part of her journey.

My family will be forever grateful and seeing your pets and helping me with them brought her so much joy. 💕

Yesterday we had Wolf the Akita come in for a major Deshedding Service! He did a great job and left looking like a whole different pup. Look how much hair we were able to get off him! He felt much better and mom was happy with the results as well!

Our deshedding package includes the bath w/ deshedding shampoo and conditioner, full undercoat blow out, 30 minutes of deshedding w/ brush tools depending on your dogs coat and needs, ear cleaning, nail trimming, breath spray, sanitary trimming and cologne spritz starting at $35+ (based on weight and breed). We service all breeds of all sizes.
