We wish to thank the guys who participated in the Sexy Leg Fundraising Event, for your lighthearted, fun approach to raising funds for a cause close to our hearts. Your involvement not only raised vital financial support but also spread awareness about the importance of caring for our furry friends in need. Our Sexy Leg fundraising winner went to Jason Watson who raised a whopping $3550 and will hold the title this entire year! And with the combined effort of all, our final donation amount of $7595 surpassed our goal of $7500. AND, they could not have done it without all of the generous donations from those who understand the importance of our shelter to the community. We’ll be providing an update soon as to the status of the shelter but we can tell you it’s looking much better with the year end fundraising response ☺️

We are deeply grateful for your generous support of the Humane Society of Clark County. Your kindness is making a significant impact on the lives of animals in need. Since our press release on October 27th, the response from those wanting to help has been very encouraging. No matter how you have supported us; volunteering, advising, sharing, fundraising or donating we are sincerely grateful for our community support as well as those who have supported us outside our community. Donations no matter the amount, large or small, have given us a chance to continue our mission to provide care, love, and a second chance to those who deserve it most. You have helped us meet our fundraiser goals these last few months and we hope you will continue to support us in the new year with the new goals we set to keep the shelter running smoothly and get our animals adopted! Thank you for being a vital part of our community. We wish you a Very Happy New Year!

Many thanks to all our volunteer contestants and to board member Ali Painter for organizing this fundraiser! We had no idea how successful this would be and are thanking all who donated and made this fun. We’re $330 away from the goal we set but must admit we set it high not expecting to reach it but giving it a shot. If we don’t get another penny we’re ecstatic over the effort and support for our local animal shelter. But last minute donations just might help us hit that mark! Thank you all again!

We will be closed to the public on Saturday, December 30th so our staff will have a day to spend with their families for the holidays. Of course our pets are still being cared for. Will be back open to the public on Tuesday, January 2nd.

Part-time Indoor Kennel Attendant

If you have a passion for working with animals, we’ve got a job for you.

Team members must:
• Be amazing with all animals
• Have dependable transportation
• Be a team player with a positive attitude
• Be able to lift up to 50+ pounds
• Be able to work independently

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform animal care duties such as preparing food, feeding, and providing water
• Cleaning and disinfecting indoor kennels and cat house/cages using appropriate chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Washing food/water bowls
• Laundry
• Sweeping/mopping floors
• Monitor sick, quarantined, and injured animals and observe them for unusual physical and behavioral conditions

Work days will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, approximately 12-15 hours per week.

Starting salary is $11 per hour. If interested, please visit the shelter during the following hours:

Tuesday – Friday 12pm to 4pm
Saturday 10 am to 2pm

Team members must:

• Be able to lift up to 50+ pounds and ability to work in different elements (i.e. extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.)
• Be able to work independently

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Humane care and treatment of all animals.
• Cleaning dog kennels (outside kennels) or cages (inside kennels)
• Cleaning food and water bowls and bedding daily in a thorough and sanitary manner to prevent the spread of any infectious viruses.
• Feeding, watering and exercising animals.
• Restraining, lifting and carrying animals and cages.

Work days will be Wednesday through Saturday, approximately 15-20 hours per week.

You must be at least 18 years of age for the outdoor position. Starting salary is $11 per hour. If interested, please visit the shelter during the following hours:

Tuesday – Friday 12pm to 4pm
Saturday 10 am to 2pm
