Humane Society of Clark County, Arkadelphia

Humane Society of Clark County, Arkadelphia https://linktr.ee/hsccarkansas We are a 501c3 no-kill animal shelter, specializing in cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies. THANK YOU

Founded in 1989, by Don and Dee Ross, along with a group of like-minded citizens of Clark County, organized the Humane Society of Clark County. Each of our loving animals is in search of their forever home. Our goal is to help as many animals as we can. Your continued support allows us to care for the homeless animals in our area. Please stop by and visit, volunteer, foster, or adopt your new furry best friend. Without you, the volunteers of Clark County, none of this would be possible.

As we begin our rescue efforts in 2025 we would like to share both our challenges and triumphs during 2024.
Last year HSCC placed 83 dogs and 257 cats in loving homes, giving them the fresh start they deserve. We also transported 36 dogs and 23 cats to northern states and pet stores, where adoption opportunities were higher.
Our commitment to preventing further suffering remains strong, with 303 dogs and 339 cats spayed or neutered during our mobile clinics helping to reduce the influx of unwanted animals in our community. We took in 116 dogs and 336 cats offering shelter, medical attention and care.
But imagine what would happen without our rescue efforts. With the unwanted pet population rising and resources stretched thin, many animals would face uncertain futures and our community would become overwhelmed.
As we begin 2025 we are thankful for our community, volunteers, and donors. And while there’s much more work to be done, we remain hopeful that, with your continued support, the coming year will bring even more chances for animals to find their forever homes. Below is just one example of a successful HSCC rescue and adoption led by Whitney Womble, our shelter director. (Her current picture and update from her adopter is in the comments ☺️)

Whew! The day started off with storms, rain and ended with wind and falling temps. But our outside dogs should be warm enough tonight. Thank you so much to the shelter staff and volunteers this weekend. Don’t have pictures of everyone but know you are appreciated immensely. These special projects are time consuming but necessary and volunteers make it possible. Come on 2025….bring us that new shelter please.

Happy New Year from our beloved Furry Friend Family!! We recently released an announcement in the Arkadelphian newspaper regarding a wonderful foundation that has offered our shelter seed money and matching funds in an effort to promote and support our mission to build a new shelter for our community. Our first step is to find suitable land and we are hopeful a donor will come forward. Monetary donations can be made via this link https://www.mightycause.com/story/Matchable-Donations-Hscc-Shelter-Build or checks can be mailed to HSCC, PO Box 435, Arkadelphia, Arkansas 71923 or dropped off at our shelter. If donating via a check please note on the check the donation is for the HSCC Building Fund so it will be matched. If you wish to discuss, have questions or possible land donations please contact Les Kent at 870-833-0431. Thank you Community!!
