The position of a dog’s ears can indicate their mood. Erect and forward-facing ears usually indicate alertness, interest, or excitement. If the ears are pulled back, it can mean the dog is anxious, scared, or submissive. If the ears are relaxed and held naturally, it typically indicates a calm and friendly disposition.
