With the adoptions of our most recent front desk staff, we decided to promote Reilly to the position! Reilly is a one year old lab mix who weighs about 50 lbs. Reilly is a handsome young dude with beautiful whisky colored eyes! Because he’s so young, Reilly does need some training and we are working on leash training along with commands. He will need someone dedicated to continue that training as well as help him work off all his energy! Reilly’s favorite thing to do is play fetch in the yard. He loves running and receiving the praise from fetching something - behind the ear scratches are particularly appreciated by him! Does Reilly sound like the dog for you? Donald - a lab/setter mix, 6 years old and weighs about 70lbs. Requires a fenced in yard and a home without children.

Donald is a smart, handsome, and loyal boy who’s ready for the right person to come into his life. With his big, beautiful brown eyes, Donald will melt your heart once he trusts you. He's selective about who he warms up to and can take time to feel comfortable. For those who earn his trust, his affection is endless, with kisses, joyful circles, and gentle nudges for belly rubs. When he sees someone he loves, Donald shows his excitement by joyfully running in circles and offering his unique greeting—he loves to give a sweet nudge to remind you he's there for some extra love. He thrives on companionship and looks forward to his daily walks, which are his favorite part of the day. He’s a pro on a leash and loves nothing more than spending time outside, watching the world go by while being gently petted. He loves to learn new commands and enjoys showing off everything he already knows. Donald currently lives like a king in his own deluxe-suite at the shelter, complete with a few beds and view of the lobby through a large window. Though, he’d be happiest in a home with a window to watch the neighborhood squirrels go by, and to hangout on the couch beside his forever person.

Due to his past experiences, Donald requires an adult-only home with an experienced handler who understands his need for space, and a house with a fenced-in yard where he can play and do his zoomies. He could be a great big brother to another dog who can keep up with him.

Donald had been let down before and came back to the shelter more cautious after his second adoption. His friends at The Buddy Foundation know that with the right person who is patient and committed, Donald will thrive and show just how truly wonderful he is. Could you be that person for Donald?

Benny is a 2-year-old lab mix who weighs about 50 lbs. Benny is full of energy, love and life! He is always happy to see people and his tail never stops wagging. This young man is a ball of fire and needs someone who can match his zest for life. He loves to run, play and then run some more! He gets along with other dogs too! Benny is quickly learning commands like sit and stay but he will still require a little training. His ideal home would include someone who wants to spend a lot of time working off all that energy as well as give him structure and training. He will pay you back with sloppy kisses and sweet smiles!

June is a one year old beagle mix weighing about 30 lbs. This gorgeous young lady has the best smile, loads of energy and endless love to give! June’s favorite activities are anything you want to do! She loves walks, playing with toys and just hanging out with the volunteers. She has the best nose in town (hello, Beagle!) and can sniff for days! June does need a little training and structure to help her with all that puppy energy but you will be rewarded with lots of love and sloppy kisses!

Somebody selected all the brown fur on Ash and clicked Ctrl+X to take the color off or her, but it wasn't our photographer! This unusual white kitten with black stripes has been snuggling up with our volunteers for over a month, and we can't believe nobody's snagged this gorgeous girl for their own. Now that the news is out, you'd better call us fast so you don't miss this precious gem!

Did someone say that treats during the weekend don’t count?!?! Molly thinks that sounds fantastic! Molly is a 2 year old lab/shepherd mix who weighs about 55 lbs. Molly is a very sweet girl who walks really well on a leash and loves to behind the ear scratches and belly rubs! She has a friendly and confident disposition and gets along with other dogs (we’ve been told she gets along with cats as well but we can’t verify that). Well Donald’s birthday month came and went without one request for a meet n greet. While that makes us sad, we can at least be comforted knowing that he doesn’t know. He does know that a wonderful person from this community dropped off a birthday present for him (thank you kind soul!). So let’s make this a September to remember and get Donald adopted! He needs an adults only home with an experienced owner who’s going to take the time to get to know him (will take a few meeting) and a fenced in backyard. We know it’s a big ask but we also know this home is out there. So let’s find it! If you’d like to meet Donald, please call us to make an appointment.
