Meet Reese! Reese is a 5 month old lab mix who weighs about 22 lbs. Reese was named after the peanut butter cups bc of his coloring, silky soft coat and sweet disposition. The epitome of a puppy, Reese is happy running around, playing with toys and then getting lots of love and affection! Reese is discovering what it’s like to walk on a leash as well as learning commands like sit, down and stay. Being a puppy, Reese will require some training but we have no doubt he’s going to grow up to be a fantastic companion for any family! We don’t know about you, but we think that Benny looks super handsome in his bow tie! Benny is a 3 year old lab mix who’s been waiting for his furever family for a long time at Buddy. However, he’s been using this time to work on learning commands and leash manners and he’s come a long way! Benny would do best in a home that would continue his training as well as provide structure for him. He will also require behind the ear scratches and belly rubs as he adores both! Kobe is a beautiful 4-year-old hound mix who weighs approximately 70 lbs. Kobe is a very intelligent dog who knows many commands like sit, stay and down. Kobe is also very loyal and is often very protective of those he loves. He’s dog indifferent in that he doesn’t react to them nor does he seek them out. He is also very vocal when his favorite volunteers enter the dog room, letting them know how happy he is to see them with a howl or a bark! Kobe is always looking to his handler for feedback on his walks and appreciates a good behind the ear rub. Kobe has some psychological issues when it comes to food often showing his insecurities as aggression which is why we are requiring a strong experienced dog handler for him. We want Kobe’s next home to succeed and not see him be returned for a 3rd time. Kobe should be the only pet in home with a fenced in yard and no small children. If you’d like to meet this devastatingly handsome and smart dog, please give us a call to make an appointment.

Scout is one of our favorite dogs here at Buddy but he has put on a few pounds lately. We have been taking him to Doggy Gym and Swim in Rolling Meadows and he loves to go. He gets so excited and quickly jumps in the car. He especially likes the peanut butter on the lick mat. If you want a fun activity for your dog check them out . 🐶
