Hello clients!

As of 2/9/23 I will not be accepting new appointments as I make my move from house call into an official salon. I understand the inconvenience this may cause, however, housecall is not it for me anymore. If you would like information on how to maintain your dog until I am able to begin grooming again, please feel free to text me at 757-719-1594 or I can refer you to another salon in the meantime.

Doodle or lab 🤨🤔

Tucker the labradoodle, who also sheds much to his owners dismay.

A lot of misinformation goes around but the truth is- you can never guarantee a doodle won't shed, because they are mixed with a shedding breed! Even poodles shed!

Nonetheless Tucker is a sweet guy and his owner asked me to "make him look like a lab" today and well, I think I did okay!

Oxly was in today for grooming! He was a bit uncomfortable with brushing today, so he didn't come out exactly as perfect as I had hoped, I try to avoid stretching appointments out more then 2-3 hours for the dog's comfort, but he was such a good boy like always.

As I begin switching the software I am currently using for my dog grooming schedule and booking, I ask that anyone reading this post please send me a message if you currently have an appointment booked within the next couple of months so I can re-add your appointment to my new scheduling system.

I should have them all correct, however, I ask this just so that I can double-check that everything is correct for both myself and my clients.

George ❤️ This sweet boy is a rescue who is currently with a foster. Today I gave him a bath, dry, bush out, and tidied up his sani, feet, and face. Hes a 7 year old Shih Tzu mix, but don't let that fool you! He has lots of life left in him, something he reminded us of as he showed the dryer who the real boss was!

George is looking for a home who has no other dogs, and has someone who can always be home to keep an eye on him. He is crate trained and can be left alone for short periods but would do best with someone home often. He is blind, so he also needs someone who will be patient with him. George also has no problem with cats (that we're aware of!) as his foster mom has one and they get along fine.

Good evening!

As of February 1st 2023, I will be changing software platforms for my dog grooming appointments.

That being said, when I make this change I will need all existing clients to re-sign the "new client form" and "liability form" to be able to stay on my client list, as I need those forms to be in the new system.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The new system will be much more client friendly, featuring a free mobile app you can download and fill out your own information on, upload necessary documents such as rabies information, request appointments through the app, online payments, and more.

Snuffy and Snickers ❤️ I first began grooming Snuffy at my previous salon, then they followed me into the world of small business, and then I got to meet her sister! Now I get to groom them both for double the french(ie) kisses!

Interested in learning more about how to maintain your dog in between grooming appointments?

Spring of 2023, Happier Pup Grooms may be offering dog grooming introductory classes.

These would be thirty minutes to one-hour classes covering the basics of dog grooming such as but not limited to; proper and thorough brushing, how to trim your dog's nails (even the black ones!), nail dremeling, desensitizing your dog to common grooming practices, and more!

PSA: Introduce grooming to your dog as young as possible! A scared puppy is ten million times easier to work with and comfort than a scared, grown dog who is set in their ways!
