Choosing a Brush for your Dog

For dogs with shorter coats, you can do a good job of loosening dead hair and setting it free with a natural-bristle brush or even a grooming glove.

For dogs with longer coats, you need a tool that can reach down under that outer coat. So it grabs the downy undercoat and removes the dead hairs. Slicker brushes are excellent tools for such dogs, especially for double-coated dogs.
