Last week, we stepped up to help our friends at Asheville Humane Society, who were experiencing space challenges after Hurricane Helene. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and Miranda Lambert's MuttNation, we were able to bring a group of cats to Virginia, giving them the space and care they need. These resilient kitties are settling in beautifully, and most will be ready for adoption very soon. Thank you to everyone who made this lifesaving effort possible. Look who swooped in for a little R&R! 🦇 This handsome Eastern Red Bat was rescued this week after he was found a bit dehydrated, but otherwise healthy. Thanks to one of our amazing rehabbers at Bat Conservation & Rescue of Virginia, he’s getting some much-needed hydration and rest to help him feel his best. With any luck, he’ll be back in the wild soon, ready to flutter off on more adventures! (And yes, we even baby-talk to bats around here—everyone deserves a little TLC, right?)
