Happy Caturday, Happy Tail 🐈 We have the best update about Juice 🧃, an 8-year-old FIV+ boy adopted 2 weeks ago: "He has settled in wonderfully at our home and loves to cuddle in bed. He has a very strict bed time of as soon as it starts getting dark, and if we don’t go lay in bed then he will stand in the door way and meow at us.
The injury on his back is all healed up and he has a vet visit today and is in excellent health!

We have a sweet update about Slim, a 10-year-old "wobbly" kitty with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). Slim was adopted almost 3 months ago by one of our marvelous volunteers and she tells us: "He is awesome and we love him!...His bald spots are growing hair, he walks on a harness and screams at the door to go for a walk in the yard, he has discovered he can lay in the catnip bush and just inhale. 🌿😻
He also loves to go out in the buggy, and he is so good when kids see him and want to pet him. I am guessing maybe he had kids in a previous life because he is so gentle.
He is a ridiculous creature and we are so glad we brought him home." 🖤🐾

Ninja arrived at our shelter in March 2024 after being found as a stray. A kind-hearted Samaritan intended to keep him but had to relinquish him to our sanctuary after discovering he was FIV+ at a local vet's office, as her own cats were FIV-negative.
Despite his ninja prowess, Ninja has a soft spot beneath his tough exterior. He loves affection and adores snuggling with his human companions. His stealthy approach to cuddles will make you feel like you've been ambushed by a wave of warmth and love.

A Good Mews Tues Update on 4-year-old Swiss, adopted from Petsmart Marysville Wa a few weeks ago by two of our furrific volunteers: "I'm happy to announce that she has settled in wonderfully and has found her loving forever home. She and our young boy cats are the best of friends.
Watching her get comfortable in her new home and bloom into the sweet (bossy) kitty she is has been a real joy. She loves cat nip, dinner time, tunnels, playing in the sink if the water is running, and finding every tiny space to squirm into. Last week, she started showing interest in cuddling and sharing her soft purrs with us.

A Caturday update on Lucy and Sally, sister moms who raised their babies (9 kittens between them!!) and then were adopted together in January: "I have a big cat tree they hang out in at my home office. They chase each other and play, roll around, etc.. but those pictures didn't turn out too well this is all for now. They sleep together and clean each other and I think they are very happy living with me. I took them to my vet a week after they came to live with us and they checked out fine and are due for their next check up and vaccines in September. The PUD wires are straight outside their cat tree window and they watch the birds sit on the wires a lot 😻"

At Purrfect Pals, our highest priority is taking in the cats and kittens who need us most… those who other shelters and rescue groups might not have the resources to help. This includes older cats, cats with major medical needs, cats with chronic illnesses (including FIV and Feline Leukemia) and those with behavioral challenges.
Our cat adoption and rehabilitation programs help us place homeless cats, including those with special needs, in loving homes. We believe that every cat is adoptable; some just need more time than others to find the right match. Our ultimate goal is to place them, but these cats have a loving home in our Arlington sanctuary for as long as they need us. Our sanctuary is currently home to cats positive for FIV and Feline Leukemia, feral cats, geriatric cats and cats with chronic illnesses.
We celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2018 and this is a very exciting time for Purrfect Pals! We added capacity in July 2017 with a 4000 sq ft building at our Arlington sanctuary. The extra space houses our main customer service lobby and adoption center, administrative offices and additional capacity for cats with special needs.
Purrfect Pals cats and kittens are available for adoption at our main sanctuary in Arlington and in our four offsite adoption centers at Petsmart in Everett and Renton, Petco in Issaquah and Denny's Pet World in Kirkland. In addition to finding homes for cats and kittens, Purrfect Pals works to prevent cat homelessness with our free spay and neuter voucher program when funds are available and a community pet food bank.
