Bruce Leland - has been a trainer and rider of winning Hunters and Jumpers and a coach of winning riders at the highest levels of the sport for more than 35 years. He has produced winners from New England to California and from Wellington to Spruce Meadows, from the ponies to the Grand Prix ring. Bruce has coached National Champions of The United States, Canada, and Mexico, and has trained, ridden

, or sold a USEF zone champion in virtually every hunter and jumper division. He has been coach of the United States Military Equestrian Team and has taught clinics all over the country and in numerous foreign countries as well. Old School Farm is located in an idyllic setting in Bluemont Va, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are 15 minutes from the fabled Upperville Showgrounds, 20 minutes from Middleburg and 15 minutes from Purcellville. Dulles Airport is only 35 minutes away and Wi******er is 30 minutes from the farm. We have fantastic facilities indoor and out, with plenty of ride out in Piedmont Hunt territory. Old School Farm offers lessons from 5yrs-95yrs and for beginners to professionals. We attend both A Rated and Schooling Shows as well as Horse Trials. Old School Farm always has a quality selection of Imported and Domestic horses and ponies for sale or lease. We also offer boarding and training for a limited number of horses. We had a great couple of weeks at Commonwealth Park in Culpeper. Liam Ruderman was first in the High Children's/Adult Jumper Classic the first week and second week two after stepping up a Division. Samantha Fisher is making tremendous strides stepping up in her Division and got great ribbons both weeks. Gabi Welch is becoming an amazing rider and got some good ribbons along with some challenges. Daunting for an 11 year old to step into the big ring in only her second Rated Show! The future is bright for Team Old School!

We finished up the Morven Park Summer Horse Show Series this past Sunday with three Series Championships, many Champions throughout the year and excellent results from all of our horses and riders!

We had a fantastic show at the Mason Dixon Classic at Swan Lake. Top ribbons in almost every class. Two Stakes winners and two Division Championships. Liam Ruderman, Meredith Schramm-Strosser, Samantha Fisher, Gabi Welch and Angelina Rossi all rode beautifully and the horses were great! We attend both Rated and Schooling Shows. We had another outstanding show at Morven Park on Saturday. Old School riders continue to be a dominant force in the Jumper Ring! Two Champions. Two Reserve Champions. Excellent placings all around. Great job Kathryn Miller, Liam Ruderman, Graham Ruderman, Angelina Rossi and Samantha Fisher!

We've been super busy this past week! On Saturday once again we had a terrific show at Morven Park, with Kathryn Miller getting top ribbons and Samantha Fisher winning in the Jumper ring. Then on Sunday we went to Powhatan to teach a Clinic for our old friend Kathy Pitt at Hunter's Ridge. It's so rewarding to be able to help some future stars. On Monday Upperville started and we had a couple of tough days but today Meredith Schramm-Strosser overcame some serioua adversity and put in two clean rounds, placing 4th in a very competitive Thoroughbred Jumper Division in her very first appearance at this most prestigious Horse Show. We are so proud of all of our riders. We are blessed to have Kathryn Miller and Shannon Venezia as part of our team! Come learn and show with us!

We had a great outing at the St. Christopher's Horse Show in Pennsylvania last week! Meredith Schramm-strosser, Angelina Rossi and Samantha Fisher all rode beautifully! Meredith and Samantha got top ribbons and Angelina won a very competitive class in the 1m at her very first A Rated Show! Always proud of my girls! We will be doing a great mix of Rated and Local Shows this Summer and Fall. Come show with us! We have a blast and we win!

Springtime is here and we are now really open for business and are ready to expand. We offer boarding, training lessons, sales and of course showing! We usually attend one Rated Show and several schooling shows per month. We have several attractive packages available.
