Yes.. we are open tomorrow, Sunday. Tour times are 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM and 4 PM. And…no… we will not be open on Monday. We are never open on Mondays. Have a fun and safe Labor Day everybody!!

If you plan on visiting the farm this weekend. There are some road closures. 

Say it ain’t so, I will not go…on I-405 between Renton & Bellevue this weekend, because it’s closing! It’s a Summertime filled with lots of construction, maintenance and events. So much for All the Small Things.

Wherever you may be headed to enjoy some Eternal Sunshine, please be mindful of the overnight lane/ramp closures along the I-5 corridor, or the full I-90, I-405 or US 101 closures we have this weekend. The STP and Ragnar Relay are also taking place on several state highways and local/city/county roads, so please use extreme caution near pedestrians and cyclists! Consider alternate forms of travel like bus, light rail, carpooling, train (hint hint: Amtrak Cascades), etc.

And if you’re heading toward Rivers And Roads, a Highway 20 Ride or exploring our amazing traffic Circles, plan ahead, leave early, and if you Wanna Get Better at travelling, remember to check our real-time travel map on our website, or use our mobile app. Lots of ways to plan ahead and know before you go, so please, don’t Call Me Maybe. You got this!

🐾 Introducing Wandering Rover 🐾

We are so excited to announce the launch of our new program, Wandering Rover!

Wandering Rover launches on Wednesday, July 17th and was created to give our dogs a break from the shelter and to help give them more visibility in the community. A shelter pup can be checked out for the day and taken for a walk, a hike, to a dog-friendly restaurant or for a pup-cup at a cafe! These outings will allow the dog to 'advertise' themselves while also providing valuable insight to shelter staff on how they interact in a public setting.

Wandering Rover is available Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10am starting Wednesday, July 17th. We welcome you to learn more and participate!

Yes, we are open the Fourth of July. We are open Thursday through Sunday. We have tours at 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM and 4 PM.  you do not need a reservation. Please try to get there 10 to 15 minutes before the tour time and check in with the gift shop.  if the sign says closed … when you pull up to the gate. That means we’re closed!!! We’re open Thursday through Sunday.

Please don’t bring your dog to the farm only to leave them in a hot car while you’re doing a tour.

Hot cars are not cool! Leaving your pet inside a parked car for "Just a minute!" can quickly turn deadly, even with a window cracked or parked in the shade. Show your 🐶 pet some ❤️ love and NEVER leave them (or a child or elder) in a parked car...even for just a few minutes.

If you are traveling all the way to Arlington, this Father’s Day to visit our farm.  There are other cool places you can visit, also. I can recommend the The Arlington lavender farm. They are doing cool stuff for Father’s Day.  Enjoy!

Today I met Mazzy. It was her eighth birthday and she wanted to spend it at the farm because she really loves animals. She believes that people whom take care of animals deserve a little extra love ❤️. So she spent yesterday making this heart. 
I was lucky enough to be the one to receive it. Mazzy, you are a beautiful soul 😍. That was one of the most pure and genuine experiences I’ve ever had.
