Rompin Paws Rescue is a No-Kill companion animal rescue dedicated to helping pets in need and helping end the suffering caused by humans through overbreeding, abandonment, and cruelty. Our goal is to save one animal at a time and give it the best care possible through proper vetting, spay/neuter, proper feeding and nutrition, training, love, and compassion. Our volunteers and Fosters receive training in basic care, nutrition, training, and medical emergencies so they have the tools they need to help an animal become adoptable and eventually find its forever family. Our adopters are also given valuable information and support so they know they can count on us if the need should arise. I have seen the number of animals killed in U.S shelters drop over 44 years from 20 million adoptable pets per year to six million per year. We still have far to go and Rompin Paws Rescue is another step on that road to a NO-KILL Nation. Dog Adoption Guidelines
Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! YES, we do adopt to Canadians. We Have adopted The philosophy put forth by SHUG rescues Founder that We as a rescue are seeking EMOTIONAL SUPPORT HUMANS for the dogs. We highly recommend this short blog post by a fellow rescuer explaining what adopting a rescue dog means to her. http://sighthoundunderground.com/http/this-is-not-your-dog/? Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from Starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescued animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pets on the same foods for optimal health and long life. we highly recommend this book: The Forever Dog- https://www.amazon.com/Forever-Dog-Surprising-Companion-Healthier/dp/0063002604/ref=

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION:

1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences, and are willing to feed the dogs Canine Specific food.

3) Secure visible fencing required.

4) You must have a plan in place to socialize your dog properly.

5) Please do NOT write to us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working on other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available.

8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you at the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families, and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: All dogs have been spayed/neutered unless they are too young. They are microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. All dogs are wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo and they are fed a Species appropriate Human grade diet for dogs. Adoption Fees

The adoption fee is $650.00 for most dogs. Senior dogs vary by age and the amount of medical care received. The adoption fees help cover transport from shelters all over the west coast, and medications such as certain vaccines, worming, and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, any special medical care, dental as required, and care of sick or injured dogs. We bring dogs from up from California mostly, some from Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and the occasional dog from China or India. There are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and groomed. We don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. About Rompin Paws Rescue
Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, Non-profit Corporation specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms, Senior dogs, dogs who were dumped by humans in parks, on the streets, and backwoods trails, as well as Shelter Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State, 1 Hr. North of Seattle. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time, we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms, and puppies of small and large breeds, and SENIORS, which has become critical in the past few years as more people are throwing away their older dogs. RPR occasionally takes in larger dogs. RPR works collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and along the I-5 corridor from California to Washington

RPR was established in April 2015. We placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington, 1 hour N. of Seattle. We have local fosters from Seattle to Bellingham and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives. If you would like to become a foster for Rompin Paws, please fill out this foster application- http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/

Come Meet Our Pets...
We have a home-based operation on Acreage in Arlington and Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption. Our Adoption Process...
Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, and Due to COVID 19, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come to visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at our facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. YES, We are adopting to Canadians.

Funds raised so far: $172.00
Thank You, Andrea, Laurie, Karla, and Debbie.

*Hi Everyone!**
I want to introduce you to Senior Dog Pugsley.
Pugsley is blind and mostly deaf.

Rompin Paws Rescue and Deborah Taylor urgently need your help with a Christmas wish for a terminally ill woman named Diane. Diane is in the final stages of cancer, and Pugsley has been her world for his entire life. As her illness progressed, she found it increasingly difficult to care for him, and in her last days, she entrusted Pugsley to her friend Deborah and Rompin Paws Rescue.

Diane's dying wish is for Pugsley to be seen by a veterinarian, placed in a loving home, and live the rest of his life surrounded by love. Recently, Pugsley lost his best canine friend, Jack, which devastated him, and now he has lost his beloved mom too.

We need your help to make Diane's last Christmas wish a reality.

While Pugsley is currently safe, he requires medical care. The estimated cost for his Senior Wellness Exam, which includes a comprehensive blood panel and urinalysis, is $425. He may also need dental work, but we can organize another fundraiser later. Pugsley's veterinary appointment is on December 27th. Once we assess his needs, we will work to ensure he regains optimal health.
We also have a retired volunteer who has devoted her life to natural healing and worked as an allopathic nurse. She wishes to foster Pugsley. The rescue will provide her with food and ongoing medical care to meet Pugsley's needs.

Your donation, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference in Pugsley's life.
Please help us show Pugsley the love and care he needs during this difficult time.
To donate any amount toward his $425 Senior Care Plan, we accept:

See photos, and animated art below.

**MAYA**
Update On Maya

Maya is the last puppy in her litter seeking her forever people.
She is 18 weeks old and is current on her vaccines.
Maya has been in foster care, learning to walk on a lead, play with her foster siblings, hang out nicely when everyone is working, and learn basic commands.
Maya has graduated with the basics and is ready for her forever family!! Maya will thrive with another dog in the home who can mentor her and be her BFF. She will need to meet more people to be appropriately socialized, as she is shy during first meets.
Maya is easygoing, playful, cuddly, and a willing learner. She will make an excellent companion to take to the beach, walks on trails, and adventures. If you are an active person, social and can introduce Maya to more people and friendly dogs and are willing to commit to a dog for life and train her, kindly fill out an application on our website:

Willow Has Been Groomed!
A heartfelt thank you to Gaye Milton for sponsoring her Spa Day! 🙂
The "Jennifers Grooming" groomer in downtown Arlington, WA. took Willows's photos for me.
Willow is seeking a loving foster home or a foster-to-adopt situation. Willow has Albinism, meaning she has no melanin in her skin, making her skin pink. She is healthy. Willow will need sun protection if she were to be outdoors for anytime on a sunny day.

If you can offer Willow a safe haven this winter while we find her forever family, please connect with Rompin Paws Rescue.
For more details, contact Cheryl Salvati at https://rompinpawsrescue.com (for foster and adoption applications) or [email protected].
Thank you for helping change her life!

Happy Sunny Sunday Y'all
Here is a little update on our new arrivals, Lo**ta and her brother Rocco.

Lo**ta and Rocco arrived Friday night. Their escorts on the plane trip from Loreto Baja Sur were so enamored by these two sweethearts' personalities and love of affection that Sharon and Mike asked to foster them until we could find their forever people.

Today, Lo**ta and Rocco experienced their first walk in the park in wet, cold Washington State (compared to warm, sunny Baja Sur).
If you would like to meet or apply to adopt this brother-sister duo or have sweet dog-friendly pups at home to adopt one of this pair,
kindly fill out an adoption application form on our website.

**Barney and Griffen: A Story of Resilience**

Barney and Griffen are two 7-pound Pug-Chihuahua brothers who were surrendered to a small, high-kill shelter in California. Found huddled together in a cat cage, they exhibited a mix of fear and curiosity, yearning for someone to notice them. Unfortunately, like many black dogs, they often went overlooked, putting their chances of adoption at risk as their time in the shelter diminished.

Fortunately, Barney and Griffen are now safe and thriving in foster care. These affectionate and inquisitive dogs enjoy each other's company and have a strong bond. Their ideal placement would be in a loving home where they can continue to grow and connect with their human family.
The brothers are adventurous and enjoy exploring their surroundings. They display good behavior while traveling in the car and are learning to walk with a harness and lead. Recently, they experienced their first beach outing, where they delighted in the sights and smells of their new environment. Adopting these bonded brothers would give them a second chance at life and bring joy to a loving family.

If you are interested in meeting Barney and Griffen and possibly offering them a life of love and safety, Please fill out an application at our website

Hi Y'all
This Friday Nite, December 13th
We have our last two rescues of the year arriving. They are sibling pups, Lola and Rocco.
Both of these pups urgently need a foster home for the holidays!

Both dogs are fixed and current on vaccines; they are approximately one year old.
Lola is super friendly with people and loves attention and cuddling.
Rocco is Lolas' Brother. He, too, loves attention and sitting on a lap while being talked to. Both pups weigh approximately 9 pounds. Rocco's ears are erect, and Lolas's fold over.

If you would like a sweet, small Dachshund mix who gets along with small, friendly dogs and loves people, please use the link below to fill out a foster application. Fostering a pet is a gratifying experience, and you'll provide a loving home for a dog in need.

A fenced yard is required as he still needs to be leash-trained.
Once you've filled out the application, we'll review it and contact you to discuss the next steps. We'll provide everything our rescues need, from food to a cozy bed, ensuring their happiness and comfort.

Hi Friends!
Meet Willow! (Previously known as Rainbow)
Willow goes in for her groom this coming Friday.

Rompin Paws Rescue urgently seeks a Foster or Foster-to-Adopt for Willow on Saturday, December 14th. We want her to be in a comfy home, a place where she can feel safe and loved, especially during the holidays. Your help could make a world of difference for Willow.

Willow is an Albino, meaning she has no melanin (pigment) in her skin. Her fur will always need to be groomed to a medium-length coat to protect her from the sun, and in the sunshine, she will need protective doggie goggles and special dog sunscreen for her nose. Willow is healthy; she is so happy being out of the shelter and receiving love and care. She's a bundle of joy, a ray of sunshine, bringing happiness wherever she goes. The vet put her age at just about one-year-old.

If you would like to foster or adopt Willow a West Highland Terrier-Poodle mix @ 23 pounds, Please fill out a foster or adoption form on our website; www.rompinpawsrescue.com

Dear Friends,

We are excited to announce that we are bringing two wonderful dogs into our care, and we need your help!

1. **Rainbow** is a charming 20-pound white female with beautiful long fur, though her breed is unknown. She was found as a stray in Covington and sadly was never claimed by her owners. The shelter has transferred her to us, where we are dedicated to finding her the loving home she deserves. Rainbow is newly spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. This weekend, I will be seeking a foster home for her. Please be aware that Rainbow may have special needs; she might be blind in one eye and possibly deaf. I will conduct some hearing tests to better understand her situation.

2. **Sophia** is an adorable Chiweeni girl weighing about 8 pounds. Though she may be shy at first, her sweet and loving nature shines through. Sophia is also spayed and current on her vaccinations. We are looking for a foster or a foster-to-adopt home where she can thrive.

If you have the heart and space to foster either of these lovely girls, we will provide everything you need, including food, veterinary care, and all the essentials to ensure they feel cozy and safe. Please take a moment to fill out an application on our website: www.rompinpawsrescue.com.

Together, we can make a difference! Thank you for considering helping Rompin Paws Rescue.

Warm regards,
Cheryl Salvati

Sophia

Hello Everyone!!
We are urgently seeking a foster or Forever family for our sweet, lovely little lady, Sophia. Sophia needs a caring home while she waits for her forever humans. Could you be the one to provide her with the love and care she deserves?
Sophia's story is one of resilience. She was dumped over the fence of a spay-neuter clinic by her humans and left, yet she remains a gentle soul who wants to be loved. It was apparent Sophia had recently nursed puppies. Sophia is a little over one year old and only weighs 8 pounds. She is a Chihuahua mix, lovely, albeit a little shy to start (understandably). She will return that love to the right person in spades. So far, Sophia has gotten along well with all the friendly small dogs she meets; she will do well with 1-2 other friendly dogs in the home.
If you would like to Foster Sophia, Foster to adopt or meet her as a potential adopter, kindly fill out an application on our website;

**Teddy**
This Sweet Darling 4-month-old puppy is ready for his forever people!
Teddy has been in a wonderful foster home for two weeks, and his personality is blossoming. Teddy loves people and is cuddly and outgoing with everyone he meets. He will do well with older, dog-savvy children. Teddy also loves belly rubs, toys, and playing with his foster sister Nala and the foster's 3-year-old doodle.
Teddy is doing well with potty training and will need consistency from his new people. That will require someone to be home a lot for training.
Teddy does well with other smaller, friendly pups, and we would like to see him in a forever home with one or two other dogs who can mentor and be Teddy's best BFFs.
Teddy is intelligent and is learning basic manners like sit and stay as well as how to walk on a harness and a lead.
If you would like to learn more and apply to adopt Teddy. Please visit our website @ https://rompinpawsrescue.com

Our Story

We are Located in Washington State in the Pacific Northwest, One Hour North of Seattle. If you would like to donate to help our cause Please paypal at: PayPal.Me/RompinPaws Rompin Paws Rescue is a No-Kill companion animal rescue dedicated to helping pets in need and to help end the suffering caused by humans through overbreeding, abandonment and cruelty. Our goal is to save one animal at a time and give it the best care possible through proper vetting, spay/neuter, proper feeding and nutrition, training, love and compassion. Every animal is special. Our Volunteers and Fosters receive training in basic care, nutrition, training and medical emergencies so they have the tools they need to help an animal become adoptable and eventually find it's forever family. Dog Adoption Guidelines Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from Starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescue animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life. OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION: 1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home. 2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences. 3) Secure visible fencing required. 4) You must have plan in place to socialize your dog properly. 5) Please do NOT write us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available. 8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: Our rescue dogs have been spayed, microchipped. All are current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies, and have been wormed and flea treated. Dogs must test negative for heartworm and Parvo before being listed for adoption. Adoption Fees Adoption fees range from$ 495.00- 650.00. The fees cover transport and medical such as certain vaccines, worming and parasite medications, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, neuter, dental extractions and teeth cleaning and emergency life saving care. We bring dogs from up from California, so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington, Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.

About Rompin Paws Rescue Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms, seniors, and other Death Row Dogs. We are located in Western Washington State. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California.. RPR was established in April, 2015. We placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington. We have a few local fosters and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives Our Adoption Process... Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at out facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. We continue the interview in person and make sure the dog and family are a good match. To apply to adopt or Foster any Rompin Paws Rescue dog, please fill out our online application (use a computer as the application tends to get dropped on tablets and cell phones before you can complete it) using this link- http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/
