Rompin Paws Rescue is a No-Kill companion animal rescue dedicated to helping pets in need and helping end the suffering caused by humans through overbreeding, abandonment, and cruelty. Our goal is to save one animal at a time and give it the best care possible through proper vetting, spay/neuter, proper feeding and nutrition, training, love, and compassion. Our volunteers and Fosters receive training in basic care, nutrition, training, and medical emergencies so they have the tools they need to help an animal become adoptable and eventually find its forever family. Our adopters are also given valuable information and support so they know they can count on us if the need should arise. I have seen the number of animals killed in U.S shelters drop over 44 years from 20 million adoptable pets per year to six million per year. We still have far to go and Rompin Paws Rescue is another step on that road to a NO-KILL Nation. Dog Adoption Guidelines
Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! YES, we do adopt to Canadians. We Have adopted The philosophy put forth by SHUG rescues Founder that We as a rescue are seeking EMOTIONAL SUPPORT HUMANS for the dogs. We highly recommend this short blog post by a fellow rescuer explaining what adopting a rescue dog means to her. http://sighthoundunderground.com/http/this-is-not-your-dog/? Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from Starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescued animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pets on the same foods for optimal health and long life. we highly recommend this book: The Forever Dog- https://www.amazon.com/Forever-Dog-Surprising-Companion-Healthier/dp/0063002604/ref=

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR DOG ADOPTION:

1) These dogs are not livestock dogs. They must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

2) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences, and are willing to feed the dogs Canine Specific food.

3) Secure visible fencing required.

4) You must have a plan in place to socialize your dog properly.

5) Please do NOT write to us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working on other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the dog may not be available.

8) The FASTEST way to be considered for a dog is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you at the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families, and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy. Health: All dogs have been spayed/neutered unless they are too young. They are microchipped, current on DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. All dogs are wormed and flea treated, tested negative for heartworm and Parvo and they are fed a Species appropriate Human grade diet for dogs. Adoption Fees

The adoption fee is $650.00 for most dogs. Senior dogs vary by age and the amount of medical care received. The adoption fees help cover transport from shelters all over the west coast, and medications such as certain vaccines, worming, and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam, any special medical care, dental as required, and care of sick or injured dogs. We bring dogs from up from California mostly, some from Mexico, Texas, Arizona, and the occasional dog from China or India. There are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and groomed. We don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs. About Rompin Paws Rescue
Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, Non-profit Corporation specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms, Senior dogs, dogs who were dumped by humans in parks, on the streets, and backwoods trails, as well as Shelter Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State, 1 Hr. North of Seattle. Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time, we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them. We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship. Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms, and puppies of small and large breeds, and SENIORS, which has become critical in the past few years as more people are throwing away their older dogs. RPR occasionally takes in larger dogs. RPR works collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and along the I-5 corridor from California to Washington

RPR was established in April 2015. We placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington, 1 hour N. of Seattle. We have local fosters from Seattle to Bellingham and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives. If you would like to become a foster for Rompin Paws, please fill out this foster application- http://rompinpawsrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/

Come Meet Our Pets...
We have a home-based operation on Acreage in Arlington and Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption. Our Adoption Process...
Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, and Due to COVID 19, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come to visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at our facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. YES, We are adopting to Canadians.

Arlington, WA

Meet Pemba, the sweetest 10-pound Dachshund-Terrier mix you'll ever encounter! Approximately one year old, Pemba is currently learning to walk nicely on a leash and loves going on adventures. This affectionate little girl enjoys cuddling and being close to her humans, making her a perfect lapdog.
Pemba was previously adopted by owners who did not fully understand the needs of a dog, which led to her being taken to a shelter. She is now looking for dog-savvy individuals who recognize that dogs require time, patience, love, and commitment. As an added bonus, Pemba thrives in the company of other dogs and loves to run around with her furry friends.

**FUNDRAISER UPDATE:** Incredible news!

Thanks to our incredible supporters, Rompin Paws has raised $2,480.00 of the $4,200.00 goal for Nala and Molly Mae, over the weekend! However, we still need $1,800.00 to ensure that Nala will receive the urgent dental care that Molly Mae is receiving this morning at Advanced Care Animal Clinic in Arlington, WA.
This photo is from 8 AM today as Molly is checked in for her dental extraction surgery. The remaining funds will be used to pay for Nala's dental extractions.
Rompin Paws does not yet have enough funds to set up a Nalas Dental appointment. Please help us raise the remaining funds she needs.
The vet is taking donations toward RPR's account.
If you want to donate directly to Nala's dental, kindly call the vet and donate any amount, and they will place it toward Nala. Feel free to message me and let me know you donated so I may thank you. Account #12247 @ 360.386-2393.
Thank you for supporting our Homeless Rescue Senior Dogs.

Rompin Paws Rescue,
Arlington, WA.

GREETING FRIENDS,

This is Sugar; she is one of the 5 puppies that was tangled in vines and rescued a few weeks ago. We brought up two of the five puppies, and they quickly found homes.

Sugar has a plane ride up with a flight angel to es**rt her in the cabin IF, and only IF can we find a foster for her.
The rescue building is full. All of Our fosters are full. This is a lucky opportunity because Sugar is almost too large to travel in the cabin. If she does not come up this Saturday, there is a chance that she will not be able to fly up in the future and will be stuck in Mexico-Homeless!!
Sugar is a sweet lovebug, the vines were wrapped so tightly around her that she had to have one toe amputated. This does not stop her. Sugar is small and will be @ 30 pounds as an adult.

PLEASE, SOMEONE, STEP UP TO FOSTER SUGAR
so we can rescue her.
Please contact Cheryl of Rompin Paws Rescue ASAP! TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE, WE ONLY HAVE A COUPLE DAYS TO GET HER PAPERS IN ORDER SO SHE CAN BOARD THE SATURDAY PLANE FLIGHT.

**PEPPER IS ADOPTED!!**

Pepper is one of five puppies, along with their mother, who were rescued from entanglement in vines that left them trapped, hungry, and injured. Thanks to the incredible efforts of some wonderful women in Loreto, Baja California Sur, and their collaboration with STRAY PAWS Loreto, two of these six-month-old puppies were flown to Seattle, along with a couple of other strays named Canela and Mango, in search of their forever families.

Lori and Kim, wonderful owners of Creekside Country Canines (a doggy daycare and boarding facility in Covington, WA.), are fostering for Rompin Paws Rescue. They have now adopted one of their foster pups—Pepper! Yay!

Even more exciting, their best friend Sam adopted Pepper's sister, Squish, the week before.

Congratulations to Pepper on finding his new, wonderful family!
Congratulations to his family on their new fur-child!

**SENIOR DOGS DENTAL FUNDRAISER**

At Rompin Paws Rescue, we currently care for seven senior dogs. Molly Mae, a 6.5-pound Chihuahua, and Nala, a 60-pound Chocolate Lab, urgently need dental care. Their dental issues are affecting not only their oral health but also their heart health. Both dogs have Grade 3 heart murmurs and require specialized care while under anesthesia.
The situation is critical, Molly Mae is so bad that holding her and smelling her mouth is hard to bear. She is in so much pain, that I have to hand-feed her so her painful teeth will not touch the bowl. Molly Mae is the most urgent and we want to get her on the Table as soon as possible to relieve her suffering!!

Below, I've included the estimates we have received for their treatment. Your donation, no matter the amount, will be essential in providing these dogs with the care they desperately need. Molly Mae and Nala are taking heart support supplements and tinctures to strengthen their hearts, improve their blood health, and antibiotics to combat their oral infections, all while we work on raising funds.
The low end of the estimates for both dogs totals $3,300.00

As Always,
I appreciate your support!
We cannot do this without YOU!
