Seriously the best young horse 🧡 he tolerated the big group of horses, babysitting a pony, standing at the stirrup cup on the Salamander Resort lawn, huge crowds, flashing police lights, loud music and more with only minor fidgeting at the end and all without any cocktails! 🧡🧡🧡 PC Flintlock Photos and Middleburg Photo.

Petey proved how quiet and sensible he is at Middleburg Hunts opening meet! This is the horse that will be worth his weight in gold 💛

Had no problem with the big group, didn’t mind being passed or waiting behind at a gate, stood like a seasoned pro and let the whole pack of hounds trot passed from behind him.

I see all those iso ads for push ride OTTBs straight off the track and never thought they existed but here one is lol! He’s that push ride in the ring and a happy little hacker for trails alone or in a group.

We’ve had a very busy start to the new months with 3 off to their new homes both for keep and borrow and another one pending, welcomed 6 new additions, and had a wonderful opening meet with Middleburg Hunt! Happy November everyone!

Our Story

The name Llew Oren is Welsh for the “color orange”. We choose the name for our foundation horses, two matching chestnut mares both named Ginger. In addition everything on the farm ended up orange by coincidence! The two barn cats, the equipment, and for a bit so many chestnut horses.

Llew Oren Farm & Stables is based out of Scott Abeel’s Rock Ridge farm in The Plains Virginia. The 90 acre farm consists of a 20 stall barn, huge outdoor arena, board fenced paddocks,and is centrally located between Routes 50 and 66.

The partnership is between Shannon Venezia (SMV Equestrian) and Ross Salter. Ross Salter also offers farrier, bush-hogging, and hay sales services.

Our services include SALES of sport horses both stateside and in the UK, TRAINING, and limited BOARDING spaces. We welcome all disciplines but focus on foxhunters.
