One of the things I think are most important with young horses is keeping lessons positive. We have firm boundaries but keep lessons light and pleasant. Teaching that good work ethic 😊

16.1hh mare by Goldmaker! She turned 4yrs in June and has been well handled since birth. She is easy to handle and is definitely the barn favorite. Loads, clips, ties like a dream.

Loves people and is a confident brave youngster with a laidback forgiving nature. If a golden retriever was a horse it’d be this one 😂 fastest way to her heart is a tummy rub and food.

Still green but w/t/c and 2’ fences. Will have a very easy auto change and will land the lead if asked. Has hound exercised, been on hunt trails, visited schooling shows.
Easy enough for a junior to bring along this horse will be worth her weight in gold (pun intended 😜)

When your hunt pony hates the ring and decides to make it more interesting by leaving out strides and adding a foot of air to every fence! We had to jump something outside the ring to make him happy 😂 definition of pocket rocket

16hh 6yr dark bay gelding this young horse seems to be leaning towards a hunter/jumper or dressage career. He has sweet and friendly nature, is a lovely mover, and stylish jumper.

His sire Toronto, an Elite Stallion with the Hanoverian Verband, is a Dutch stallion acquired by the Celle State Stud to further the jumping talent of the breeding program. His performance test single score in jumping was 9.3.

He has been brought along slowly and with care and is easy enough for a good riding junior to finish. He is starting work on a lead change and polishing his over fences skills. He is jumping up to 2’9” currently with great ease.

He is easy to have in the barn and has wonderfully tough barefeet!

This is a great opportunity to snag a quality horse before his show record doubles his 🥕s 🧡

The Upperville C**t & Horse Show invites the community to show "Under the Oaks" at the Grafton Hunter Show on Saturday, September 7, 2024!
This unrecognized horse show will be held in the main "Parker" Hunter ring with open seating for spectators in the Grandstand.

Thoroughbred hunter in the making I think 🙂 2nd day over fences u/s. Liking this one more each day. He last raced 7months ago and was given a few months of let down.

In this hot weather everyone in the barn has a nice fan, has feed soaked, and is given electrolytes.

The water buckets get scrubbed daily (as usual) but also disinfected daily to ensure clean fresh water. They get turned out later if it’s very hot so they aren’t standing in the sun and Vetrolin bath before breakfast if they are hot when they come in 😊☀️🦄

Invictus - yearling c**t by Oldenburg stallion Impulse out of Aloma’s Image. This c**t is athletic and has a bold in your pocket personality and will make a ammy friendly type prospect. He would make a super upper level eventer or jumper but could also hang in the hunter ring. Lowest of 5s to a good home. Video and more pics in the comments. Pm for info.

Evening jumper show on Wednesday !! Ground poles start at 4 pm, and heights go up every 45 minutes. Come and show with us under the lights with our nice sprinkler system and fabulous footing!! Kids, Green horses and riders welcome!
