Arriving today! 10 pups from Jamaica ready to find their forever’s❤️🇯🇲➡️🇺🇸

Their journey was anything but easy, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Negril Pup Rescue, who worked tirelessly to protect and care for these dogs before, during, and after Hurricane Melissa.

A huge thank-you to Christina at Operation Kindness for coordinating the mission, along with Wings of Rescue, Humane World for Animals, and so many others. Because of your compassion and relentless dedication, these pups now get the fresh start they deserve.

We can’t wait to welcome them all and we’re so grateful for everyone who played a part in getting them here.

✨ Alumni Spotlight ✨

As we wrap up this special month of gratitude, we’re celebrating two incredible alumni who remind us why rescue work matters so deeply - Dex and Kory.

Dex was in our care for over a year, for no good reason. It took time, patience, and consistency, but Billy showed up for him week after week, helping Dex get comfortable and building the unbreakable bond that shines through in his words above. Seeing Dex now, happy, confident, and so deeply loved, shows just how transformative trust and time can be.

Kory is thriving thanks to the love and dedication of his adopter, Nicole. From long walks by the lake to sunbathing together all summer, Kory has blossomed into his best self. Nicole’s patience, commitment, and willingness to take things one day at a time has given Kory the secure, joy-filled life he deserves.

To Billy and Nicole, thank you for believing in these two incredible dogs, for showing up for them, and for giving them the lives they always deserved. Your kindness and devotion are what transform rescue stories into lifelong love stories. We are endlessly grateful for adopters like you.

Here’s to second chances, happy endings, and the incredible humans who make them possible. ❤️🐾

Happy Foster Friday, furfriends! 💛

Meet Gunner and Gemma, a bonded senior duo looking for a forever home. These two lost their home when their owner could no longer care for them and are now hoping for a fresh start together.

Their foster says they are just the sweetest dogs — they walk beautifully on leash and are in great shape- and doing so well!🥹🐾

Gunner, a 12-year-old Bluetick Coonhound, and Gemma, a 12-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, have spent their whole lives side by side. They’re housebroken, gentle, and dreaming of a peaceful home to enjoy their golden years together. 💞

💖 Volunteer Spotlight! 💖 Meet Chessy, our amazing foster coordinator!

She first joined us back in 2020 as a volunteer, spending her time socializing and walking dogs, helping at events, and supporting the team wherever she was needed. Her dedication, warmth, and passion for rescue quickly shined through, and just over a year ago she stepped into the role of foster coordinator.

Since then, she’s been a guiding force for our foster families and a lifesaver for so many dogs who needed a soft place to land. We’re so grateful for everything she does!❤️

"Volunteering as the Foster Coordinator with Adopt-A-Dog, Inc. brings me much joy because it allows me to be part of a dog's journey to a loving forever home.

I love supporting the dogs, the incredible foster families, and the organization-guiding fosters through the process and being there for them every step of the way. Our fosters play a vital role in preparing pups for a smooth transition into their forever homes, helping them build confidence, routines, and trust.

And of course, there are times when fosters fall in love and become adopters themselves-and that's amazing. I always say, there is no shame in failing!
