This is a group dry lot with no more than 12 horses. They are fed free choice 3x4 grass hay stored in 2netted hay feeders. Four 150 gallon water tanks supply water. This is a pretty laid back group of horses with plenty of shelter and space to move around.

We are passionate about horse care! Full, clean water tanks and high quality grass/alfalfa mix fed 3x a day to meet your horse's specific nutrition needs. Knowledgable staff on site to keep eyes on your equine companion, always looking for potential issues (after all they are horses and they are always looking for ways to hurt themselves or cause mischief)! Daily cleaning of ALL paddocks and manure removed from site every three weeks helps control flies.
We do NOT offer self clean options.

Fresh. Clean. Full. That is how your water tank should look! Our tanks are filled and skimmed daily. With 50 tanks on property we are on a 3 week rotation to empty, scrub and refill!
Clean water is what your ponies need to be healthy and happy!

Current opening for 2 indoor stalls with 2 more to come in the next month. Outdoor pens also available.

Such a fun day out at the barn for our first ever boarder clinic! Mr. DJ Dudley came out and taught a novice ranch sorting clinic. We learned a lot, spent the day horseback and enjoyed some sunshine. Tomorrow is a public.clinic with 2 slots still open!! I highly recommend DJ! And his lovely assistant Janea and the handsome Ian Kersch!

Our resident gardener, Sue has been hard at work and the front garden is all coming together very nicely! The best part is that our drain is protected and our roof water is diverted to the channel in the driveway.

Lake View Stables is excited to announce our first ever clinic! DJ Dudley will be leading a NOVICE RANCH SORTING clinic on Sunday, May 19. There are 12 slots available.

DJ Dudley is a Ft. Lupton, CO based cutting horse trainer. DJ grew up rodeoing and later worked on the OX Ranch with the legendary Ray Hunt. He later went on to work with top trainer Ronnie Rice in the cutting horse industry. DJ is a student of the horse and always ready to pass on his knowledge.

Arena watered and 48 bags of mag flakes spread! Tomorrow morning we will drag the arena and then we get to enjoy dust free riding!!

Six days since the snow stopped falling. We ended up with right around 3.5 feet here at Lake View. Our staff has worked hard plowing, pushing snow, trenching and rerouting water. Boarders have graciously pitched in. Our pens are still muddy, but they are drying quickly and ALL of our horses have dry places to stand and no one is forced to stand in the mud. I'm proud of our hard work and happy with the continued results!

With these warm temps we have been able to start the tank cleaning rotation. Horses thrive on consistency. Quality feed and fresh, clean, full water is a non-negotiable. Our waters get filled and skimmed daily and when the temps allow we rotate full cleaning every 3 weeks!

***Update: I have had bunches of PMs. Thank you, as soon as I have more info from Gordon I will be in touch with each of you. A few notes. I will be organizing, you will not be dealing directly with Gordon. Gordon is not a family photographer, he does not do "private sessions", your child will not be paid for this. It is not a modeling assignment, it is a cool and fun project for TCH. Gordon typically takes "other" photos of his subjects while on the project and in costume and he happily shares those images, but it his discretion. I posted this because I adore Gordon and I think what he does is amazing. If you are looking yo promote your child in some career path this is not for you!!***

Gordon Trice is a photographer that works for Texas Children's Hospitals. HIs entire life's work has been photographing sick kids and doing all of the photo design for new buildings. Cayden has taken part in several of his shoots and he has done several here at the barn. The photo here was taken 2 years ago and is featured in a Houston hospital on the wall it is 50ftx120ft displayed.
Gordon has a new project and needs about 12-15 kids aged 6-18, dressed in full western regalia, think boots, chaps, hats, fringed shirts, the whole deal. These kids will be sitting on the arena fence and Gordon will photograph them from behind while the kids watch an adult "competitor" in the arena. This shoot will be after school when the light is just right, date is unknown right now but is anyone interested? Know any kids that may be interested? Gordon always takes other photos and really tries to do something nice for families that assist him. He does some really cool work and is the kindest man. Let me know if you want to be included!
