Bob is 6.5 months old and completely potty trained and trust worthy. He is crate trained, but over the last two weeks we have started leaving him loose with the other pups when we leave and he does great. He knows sit and comes when called. He loves car rides when going somewhere fun. He attends daycare 3 days a week and does great with the other dogs. He loves his toys (lots of toys) and has recently started to fetch, he loves a good game of fetch. He walks great on a leash and does not pull, he also runs around off leash and does not run off. He is not mouthy and does not jump up unless asked to. Now, if you know anything about puppies, you know this boy is one in a million at 6.5 months old.
Not everyone can be perfect, and this boy is no exception, Bob is a bit of a punk teen in new situations. He prefers to meet new dogs by jumping on them to show them who is boss. As you can imagine, in most cases this goes very poorly for him. In every situation, he gets the beat down, falls in line and is off playing with his pals. However, Bob does not live with small dogs or play with small dogs at friends and family's houses. I can see this going differently with a smaller dog who can't defend themselves (i.e. the family who returned him). Bob does not have an aggressive bone in his body, but when he tangles with another dog it sounds scary. What he needs is a family who will not allow him to be the boss. He needs bigger dogs who will not allow him to push them around, and will also correct him. He needs a family who will monitor his interactions in the beginning so he does not make poor choices and cause a ruckus. In return you will have the most loyal, loving, snuggly four legged family member!
AND, Bob is big, he is probably pushing 45-50 lbs, so he is not going to be a small dog.
So, if you know someone who is looking for the best boy, send them our way! We have done the hard work so his new family can reap the rewards! 🐶❤️🐾
