Isla, who is tricky to handle and still very immature was entered in the Mile High Sporting Fanciers Show & Evergreen Kennel Club Shows 5th thru 9th for ring experience. As well as her 1st Place & Winners ribbons all 5 days (let's not get carried away...........she was the only dog in her class), she was also awarded 3 Best of Opposite S*x over the Female Special for her first 3 points and also earned an Obedience Title!

We lost a good friend on Friday morning - Betty Strohmeier, one of the best Corgi Breeders, latterly had Tibby’s, Master Groomer, Handler of Flat-Coats, Corgi’s, Tibetan Spaniels and others.
Condolences to her Family. Arrangements will follow in due course.

The St. Louis Park Police Department in St. Louis Park, MN has received their new K-9, Maverick! Maverick and handler, Officer McNeely finished training this summer where Maverick was certified in explosives detection. With the help of the United States Police Canine Association, the department was awarded an AKC Reunite Adopt a K-9 Cop grant in October 2022 which started their first K-9 program!

Our Breed Spotlight program this month will feature Manchester Terriers, and this work by Ignazio Spiridoni shows an example of this formidable breed alongside two mastiffs.

On Sunday, April 23rd 12-2pm join us in our Library space to to meet and greet with 5 of these amazing dogs. The breed has two varieties: standard and toy and you will get to compare them while talking to the owners about their care. This event is free for Members and included with General Admission.
