The Horse Protection League

In May of 2024, The Horse Protection League rescued 3 horses and 2 donkeys at an auction. We’ll be highlighting each of these animals over the next few days. Of these 5 equids that were rescued, 4 of them have been adopted or are pending adoption. Their success stories have shown how far compassion, love, and understanding can go in the lives of equines when they are given their chance to shine. Today, we are appealing for help to raise funds to rescue more horses and donkeys from an upcoming auction. Todays spotlight is ✨Dusty & Reeses✨ In September, the beloved donkeys known as Dusty and Reeses were adopted by a loving family. They stole the hearts of volunteers and had the most beautiful bray imaginable. Their adoption was bittersweet for HPL as they were two favorites who found their forever home. 🎬 We’re hosting a movie night at the ranch! Join us next Friday, 9/27, for the screening of: Secretariat! 🐎 Gates open at 7:30pm, and the movie starts at dusk, around 8:30pm. Come early to set up, grab some popcorn, and meet the herd. 🐴 Bring your own chairs, and please leave pets at home. We’ll have concessions for sale, including hotdogs, popcorn, and candy.
