One of the main reasons we moved was because a privately funded animal rescue farm is EXPENSIVE, every single year our feed bill gets higher and higher and we knew we needed to figure out something for long term success…

I feel like a lot of my posts look like this lately so I apologize but this is such a core memory ❤️ Before we started our family we talked forever about how we envisioned raising our kids and Farm Baby is just all around the baby of our dreams! She loves this life, loves helping with chores and has such a soft spot for her animals.

Well here’s the big secret we have been keeping!! We started Olde Town Homestead in Arvada, CO in 2018 with our goal to make a big difference for a few animals. By 2019 we had found our calling giving forever homes to special needs animals and in 2022 we were outgrowing our starter farm in Arvada so we moved to Fort Lupton to give our animals more space.

Fast forward to now, 2025… Although we are a little quieter on social media our rescue farm continues to grow as we add on more special needs animals and different species of animals. Our hearts keep calling us to this work and we were having to tell people we were at animal capacity… So welcome to our brand new Olde Town Homestead.

After weeks of work we are all set up and our current animal residents moved to the property yesterday. We will be taking the summer to get new enclosures and pastures situated but we are so confident that our new 26 acre farm will let us keep giving rescue animals their best lives. We can’t wait to welcome our friends to tour our new property once things are all set up but in the meantime I’ll have our regular animal content + more about our journey preparing the rescue for what’s to come!

Happy Mothers Day to all of our friends ❤️ My heart is so so full celebrating this day, I am so blessed to celebrate today surrounded by *all* of my Farm Babies and my family as we work on our biggest surprise project yet!

Chores take 10x longer these days but they’re also 10x sweeter ❤️🥹 Farm Baby always helps feed the animals and fill their waters but tonight she even helped prepare the lavender field!
