Monday Miracle Story: You know how much we love our kitty Randall, right? If you’ve been here a while you know that Randall just showed up on our back porch one day and then never left. We are both allergic to cats so we set him up nicely outside with a heated cat house, a heated bed, fresh water, and the best cat food! He quickly became a part of our family and our everyday farm life and it’s safe to say we became cat people (for this cat)! Farm Baby’s second word was “Dundall”, she said that before she ever said Mama!
Well our hearts were all broken when he went missing a few weeks ago, we looked everywhere, we drove around with flashlights and headlamps, we checked ditches, we walked every square inch of our property, we went door to door to our neighbors AND their neighbors, checked shelters in person and online, we sent missing postcards, we posted signs, we were devastated. We braced for the worst news, cancelled our cat food subscription, and quietly mourned our sweet friend.
41 days after he went missing I get a message at 3 am from saying there’s a potential match for Randall 11 miles from home. I thought ZERO CHANCE but we went to check in person anyways and guess what?
It was Randall. 41 days later, 11 miles from home. I wish I could tell him how hard we looked for him and how bad we missed him!
Anyways… any suggestions on a good cat GPS collar? 😂
