Even when our social media is quiet, we are still working!!

Welcome to the farm Chipeta, our newest rescue baby girl. She is 9 years old, vocal, and and escape artist ♥️ She came to us from a farm in the mountains that knew their -30 degree winters were just too hard for her and she has a tooth ailment that will likely have her on and off hay throughout the winter so we are just working to get to know her and her routines before the first big storm of the year comes in.

It’s been a QUIET week for us, we are healing up from a crazy but that took down the whole family but the animals are great, the weather is cooling off, and the holidays are coming.

Having Chance home with us has been such a blessing ♥️ He has started with a trainer that knows all about training horses with his physical condition and he’s so far reacting really well to training.

Since we host events at our farm and onsite Airbnb we have to make sure Chance is well trained and *safe* to be around children so for now on top of his vet care he will be getting help each week to be ready to meet all of our farm friends!

Oh hey Randall ♥️ Randall at one point belonged to our neighbor but like any country cat he roamed over to our place, found a free meal and a back scratch, and then moved in for good!

What’s one more mouth to feed?! Randall lucked out with a daily meal, a heated and insulated cat shack, and a Farm Baby who loves him. A little fact about Randall and Farm Baby- My daughter said “Dundall” before she said “Mama”.

A quick sunset picture from the farm tonight - If you’re new to our page let me do a quick introduction! We started an animal rescue farm “on accident” a few years back when we wanted farm animals but knew there were plenty of lovable animals who needed rescued instead of purchasing animals. Our hearts kept growing and growing as we welcomed home special needs animals and soon the vet was at our farm often enough that our mindset became “well if the vets already coming for x, x, and x, what’s one more patient for her” and so with that mindset we became regulars with our vet and kept welcoming home differently abled animals.

During covid we moved to the property of our dreams to give our animals more space and for the last 2.5 years we have been building from the ground up. We now have a massive barn, a chicken and duck coop that’s bigger than our own home, and we have slowly been growing flower fields, a brand new apple orchard, and an Airbnb for friends to come stay with the animals and experience it all from sun up to sun down.

Did we mention this is a family project? You’ll see our whole family and extended family here helping and getting their hands dirty, all the way down to our little Farm Baby!

I see two little cuties! We are loving getting to know Theo and Elron’s little personalities! These two buddies are still on quarantine as we wait for our vet to clear them but they have lots of green pasture to chew through while they wait and they’re loving it.
