ADOPTION STORY
š
DORIAN AND GAYLE!
They may not be biological siblings, but from the moment Dorian and Gayle met, it was clear they were meant to grow up together.
Gayle came to us as a teeny singleton (with a crinkly tail) and went straight into the care of our bottle baby queen, Terri. Not long after, our volunteer Oliver reached out about a three-legged mama cat and her solo kitten who heād named Dorian. Oliver trapped them both and got them to Catsbury Park so we could get them on their way to a better life.
Dorian was just a little older than Gayle, old enough that he was eating on his own, so when Gayle was ready to leave bottle life behind, we decided to pair them up in foster - they both very much needed a buddy. And just like that, they became a duo!
Gayle is wild and fearless and full of energy. Dorian is thoughtful, playful, and the owner of the most luxurious tail in all the land. These two balanced each other in the best way and we knew from the start these they had to be adopted together. Bonded cats donāt always have to be biological siblings!
Massiel and her family came to the lounge looking to adopt, and when they met Dorian and Gayle, it was obvious that they had found their cats. This past weekend, we got to send Dorian and Gayle home, together, to a loving family ANDD they have human siblings to call their own!! So much love to go around.
And if that wasnāt sweet enough, our volunteer Oliver, who rescued Dorian and his mom, decided to make her part of his family, too. Stumpy is now a house cat, with an incredibly amazing human for a dad - living her best life !!
Saying goodbye is always hard for us here but the payoff is so so good. When we get to watch these kids grow and thrive, itās nothing short of an honor to wave goodbye as they go off to their forever homes.
Thank you to all of you for making these adoptions a reality and ā for saving lives every single day.
