We are a New Jersey 501(c) non-profit corporation with the goal of helping as many kittens and cats find loving homes through various channels. As many of you who followed us on social media might know, we started fostering out of our home in the summer of 2016 and were able to place 37 kittens with forever homes within our first 2 months. We also want to create a space where the public can learn

about cats, interact with them, and potentially take them home. We still hope to continue fostering kittens but Catsbury Park Tea House & Cat Lounge itself will focus on adult cats who, while available for adoption, are residents of the cafe and interact with customers. We also feel that Asbury Park, our favorite place, needs a tea lounge and have focused on providing high-end tea service to provide the best experience for those who come to spend time with our cats!

Im sorry, what?!? This is how I found Lionel, Lyle, Liam and Levi when I walked into the lounge this morning. We got these cuties from the amazing who raised the most wonderful kittens! We’re so excited to have them and 5 other cats we scooped from them this week, who are also super wonderful!

We have 18 cat/kittens in the lounge currently, so get here! We will be here all weekend!

We get inundated with request for TNR. We are doing our best to follow up with everyone. Just know that all of our trappers are VOLUNTEERS so we are doing the best we can.

Meet Nube, one of our newest rescues.

Nube was found outside in South Jersey looking for food and shelter. No microchip and not spayed, but very friendly, she was likely dumped by an irresponsible human. Lucky for her, she was found and trapped by a Good Samaritan _.

Nube was recently spayed and will be available for adoption next week.

XAVIER !!!

In 2023 we were called to intervene on a hoarding situation. Over 30 cats were living in a one bedroom apartment, with a couple of litterboxes lined with newspaper and not much else. There were adult cats, kittens, pregnant moms, nursing queens, none of which had any medical care or proper nutrition - or the space and love they needed.

We pulled every single cat in that apartment, and promised them we would do everything in our power to get them healthy, happy — and into a home where they were loved and cared for.

Xavier was one of those cats. He spent nearly two years at the lounge with us, watching the other cats he came with get adopted one by one. We made a post about him a few weeks back and Hillary reached out to us to tell us she had been thinking about him for some time, and she knew his home was with her. She wanted to adopt Xavier and believe us - we definitely teared up when that application came in for him. He was last of the hoarding cats still with us - his time had finally arrived!

We want to thank the team at for everything they do, and for helping every single one of the hoarding cats. Because of their team, we each one of these cats received the care they very much needed and we can’t thank them enough for that.

Hillary - thank you for giving Xavier the home he waited so long for. He will finally have a home, and humans, to call his own. We are sad to see him go but we know how bright his future is. Thank you 🧡

Catsbury Park will be closed from June 26th through June 29th

We had another incredible week of adoptions!! Before we bring some new faces to the lounge, we decided to take the opportunity to do a deep clean of our lounge and storage areas while we are in between pulls.

We will be open for 4th of July weekend - we hope to see you then!

BRUNO & MARIO !

This cutie pair of brothers were found alone, sith no sign of their momma and with no other siblings in sight. We quickly took them into our care and got them into foster with and where we knew they’d get allllll the love and care they needed to be happy and healthy while they waited for their forever home. We can’t do this work alone, and we are forever thankful for the amazing team of foster parents that are always willing to open their home to some cats in need.

Martha and Steven were ready to welcome a new pair of cats into their home, and as soon as they met Bruno and Mario they were sold! These two gray babes aren’t just cute — they’re also the sweetest little guys! They went off for their neuter and they were finalllllllyyyyy ready to go home with Martha and Steven.

THANK YOU for choosing to adopt, and thank you for adopting a bonded pair of kittens. They will always have a built in BFF with each other and besides, we all know two kittens are better than one!

Milo was another cat that we pulled from
Ocean County shelter. Another cat who found himself looking for his forever home once again who needed our help. He was a big boy, and an even bigger mush so we took him with the rest of the cats we pulled that day and gave him a shot at the lounge.

Once he was with us, he made it pretty clear he wanted to be an only cat - so we knew we needed to find him a home where he got alllllll of the attention, treats, and love - to himself.

Tara had applied for pre-approval before coming to the lounge so she would be all ready when she finally found the one. Well, Milo was her one and we were able to send him home knowing he was going to be the king of the caste. We know Milo will be spoiled as he should be with Tara and her family, and we are so thankful they found each other so quickly.

Tara - thank you for choosing to adopt this big lovable guy. It is always tough for us to say goodbye but knowing Milo is living the life he deserves in a loving home makes it so much easier!

This handsome orange boy found his way to us from Ocean County shelter. We pulled some cats a few weeks ago, and this mellow dude was included in that. At 7 years, we wanted to do our best to find him his forever home after he ended up in the shelter.

He settled in at the lounge quickly, finding a cozy spot on the tower and soliciting pets from all of us so we knew it wouldn’t be long until he got scooped up.

Caitlin came in to meet the adoptable cats and Carter caught her eye right away. She was ready to give this lovable guy a second chance at a forever home and we were super excited when we saw her email that said Carter was the one!

We got this send this guy off last week, and we think his adoption photo says it all - he has finally found his forever with Caitlin!

Caitlin and Carter - we wish you many years of love and purrs. Thank you for choosing to not only adopt, but for giving a senior kitty a chance to have such a loving and wonderful home. CONGRATS!!!!
