Halo's Acres is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit geared towards helping goats and horses in need These animals deserve a second chance.

Halo's Acres is an animal rescue for farm animals (more specifically, goats & horses) that is located in Ash Flat, Arkansas. We strive to save goats and horses from poor situations - whether they have a disease that is hard to manage, are in a kill pen, skinny, sick, etc - they are welcome in our rescue. Those animals saved that are able to be rehabilitated and rehomed, will be, but there is also

space in our rescue for a sanctuary herd. We have travelled to surrounding states for rescues, as well as rescued those in our town. Please consider helping us save these sweet souls through PayPal (PayPal.me/HalosAcres) or Venmo ()

✨ Cody ✨

Here’s a Cody update! He’s doing absolutely amazing! I’ve moved him to the big pasture with my older geldings who all get this lovely alfalfa every day. He loves his old gelding friends and being in the big field❤️ still not so sure about me touching him but he’s definitely getting more comfortable with me being around him and in his bubble 🤗

Cody update! He is doing his job well - eat eat eat! He has buddied up with Annie, the red roan mare, and just followers her around everywhere! I think his coat looks better and it’s hard to tell if he’s gained much weight since it hasn’t been very long. He’s a very curious little guy and wants to be sweet❤️ we’re blessed and honored to be a part of this little guys story🥰

Cody made it to Arkansas! He’s pretty much hung out by himself so far but he seems to be settling right in! We’re so happy to have him home🥰

A quick little video of “Cody” to show how much he’s improved in Natalie and Miranda’s care!

‼️We are still trying to raise funds to haul him to our sanctuary in Arkansas‼️

Cody’s story:
He is about 9-10 months old. His momma passed away before he was weaned and then he was locked in an unsanitary stall with no food which forced him to start eating the wood on the walls for food. He’s a bit timid, but wants to be friendly! Natalie saved Cody from the slaughter pipeline and has him placed with Miranda’s rescue in Texas. He’s been with Miranda for the last 6 weeks or so getting much needed vet care, food, & love❤️ We would’ve brought him to Arkansas sooner but he wasn’t strong enough to handle the 7 hour drive - but now he is!!!

We are trying to raise $1000 to cover hauling to Arkansas and the rest of his board bill with Miranda.

Update: Received: $665/$1000 !!!

Not even a single dollar in donations to start the rest of this poor guy’s life… yes, he’s safe, had vet care, and is slowly gaining weight and healing from all of his cuts/wounds. HE STILL NEEDS HELP! He needed time to heal before it was safe to haul him 7+ hours. He’s still in rough shape, but he’s healthy enough to travel! The longer he stays in quarantine, the larger his board bill. It’s a balance of making sure he’s healthy enough to travel, and getting him to his new home as soon as possible so the board money can go more towards his ongoing care. There’s no board bill here at Halo’s Acres.

Thousands have already been spent on getting him this far. All I’m asking is $1000 to get him home! He’s known nothing but neglect, pain, & starvation his whole life. Let’s raise this money so he can settle into his new home❤️

Cashew’s Freedom Ride!

I’m a couple days late, but our sweet Cashew had his freedom ride a year ago (April 8, 2023)! He was so scared of people and now he is the sweetest little donkey! We love you Cashew! You’re the best friend we could’ve ever asked for Peanut🥰

This sweet girl came up in my memories today💛 This is Halo - who the rescue is named after. She was my first goat rescue. Even though I mostly work with horses, Halo is who really sparked me to want to save more animals in bad conditions. I bought her from a local auction for $30. I was the only bidder. She couldn’t stand or walk in the auction ring so her walking in this video (taken the day after the auction) gave us so much hope! She slept in my room at night and we did everything we could to get her stronger. Unfortunately, she had an infection that she couldn’t beat. She ended up septic and couldn’t stand or walk, and lost her appetite. That’s when we made the decision to humanely euthanize her after a long 2 week battle. This was in March 2021. She was such a happy goat and we are so blessed to have been able to take care of her in her last days💛
