At 9 weeks our kittens still nurse and learn from mom and siblings. Taking a kitten away from their mom can cause social anxiety for the kitten. This is why we keep our kittens at least 14 weeks before leaving to their new 🏡 home.

Our kittens are growing!! Ariana and Arthur II have a clean bill of health today at the vet. This was their first set of shots out of 3. As precaution they received a dewormer. Both kittens did very well and were docile.

Jirànek is going to be one of three sires at Purrfect Whiskers. He is a Handsome lilac and white “Van”, British Longhair Male with beautiful round copper eyes, small rounded ears, strong compact body, and thick legs with rounded paws. We are excited to see his offspring this winter. ♥️🥰♥️

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A CAT?

No cat is just a pet....

Behind every bred kitten is a BREEDER. I use capital letters to differentiate a breeder from an animal factory or a mill. A respectable breeder won't breed cats without documents, which doesn't protect the integrity of the breed. Recordings (documents) are records of the lineage that document the bloodline and allow you to investigate possible health problems in lineage. When you tell a breeder you don't care about cards, you're really telling them you don't care less about kitty health, only the cheapest thing you can find! When you purchase a kitten from a respectable and high quality breeder, that breeder is responsible for every kitten's health; this breeder skips holidays, loses sleep, and most of his personal home space has been converted to space for his cats .. The truly passionate breeder who loves what he breeds puts all his heart and soul into it. Not only with kittens being sold, but also with every client who has a piece of their heart and is now a member of their expanded family. Breeders care about their babies after they leave and pick them up again no questions asked.

A breeder ′′ will get their hands dirty ", often burdened by everything that comes from childbirth. Because this is what life consists of... In the middle of birth and death there is life. The wheel that keeps spinning. A breeder performs tests, x-rays, analysis, emergency operations, vaccinations, litter box, family trees, deworming and microchipped for their kittens and has them evaluate by specialists.

Last but not least, a breeder chooses the family lucky enough to have one of their kittens. A real breeder chooses who to sell to because they don't earn money selling them. There is no compensation to offset investments made by a breeder. So, they need to make sure they fit properly. They often just say yes... A good breeder has different criteria for those who want to continue their bloodline. Why? Why? Because farming is not a responsibility to ever be taken lightly, it is a life choice reserved ONLY for the devout few who are willing to sacrifice themselves.

Because a cat is never ′′ just a pet ′′ it's the breeder's legacy, a child's best friend, a protector for girls, elderly therapy, a family member, someone's entire world!!!

Our graduate Hilda has adjusted well to her new Family. She arrived in Texas safe and sound. Thank you Karly Chnupa. ♥️

Hilda’s first night her new family states,“Not skittish! She’s been playing around and she loves to cuddle with my hand. She was purring up a storm! “ Hilda enjoys days following her mother at the office. ♥️

I am honored and Blessed to know Elizabeth Abernethey. She adopted our JohnHenry and Isminka “meeka” this year. The kitties help DrDavid Abernethy at his Dr’s office assisting patients with anxiety. Elizabeth is an example of what we should do to help animals in need. The picture below are items she purchased to donate. If you do not have fund’s then donate your time. Elizabeth is a silent donor of animal supplies to the elderly. This allows the elderly to keep their beloved pets when they are unable to go out or afford supplies.
Thank you Elizabeth for reminding us to help out anyway we can.

Isminka will be going DrDavid Abernethy and Elizabeth. They train cats at their practice to help patients with stress and anxiety. You would be amazed at the personality of a British Longhair. Their temperament is perfect for this job. We are over the moon about this. Our Cattery prides ourselves on creating the perfect match for every adoptive parent and cat.
