I found this picture of a project I did in the 1990’s (maybe 1997 or ‘98). I took this antique NC pottery butter churn (probably from late 1800’s to early 1900’s) that we had purchased from an auction and made a polymer clay
Red tail boa to adorn the rim. By the way, the rim was damaged / broken which is why I chose this crock. I donated this to the NC for their annual “zoo to do” fundraiser. I am not sure how much it sold for but someone bought it at the silent auction. I believe it was a 5 gallon crock so it was a pretty big piece and of course with polymer clay I had to bake the whole thing in my home oven. Lol I call it snake and bake. Lol. 🐍🐍 Just ran across this photo and thought I’d share.

Check out my other page Mandowla Creative!

This is Amber (Tammy and Jimmy’s daughter) and the person who’s most likely to reply to you via this page (Caraway Creek Reptiles) since I manage their page. 😉

I designed this shirt for my mom. She lost her beloved two-headed albino Honduran Milkshake, Gemini, a few months ago.

In case you didn't know, my family and I have snakes — as in LOTS of snakes. They're all non-venomous and beautiful. We can be found at most Repticon events in North Carolina throughout the year. I grew up traveling to these "snake shows" throughout my childhood and it's pretty cool to bring my own boys to them now.

I'll have more t-shirts available soon and I also take commissioned pieces. :)

Please STOP killing snakes! It is not fair that they have to die because someone is scared of it. Educate yourself. You can look up ANYTHING on the internet now. Fear comes from lack of knowledge. Arm yourself with knowledge of what creatures live around us and in your yard. These creatures are just trying to make a living like the rest of us. Unless provoked, most snakes won’t try to bite you. They don’t want to come near you! Just watch your step and try not to step on one. Trying to kill a snake is one of the best ways to get bitten. They are just trying to protect themselves. I would bite too if someone was coming at me with a shovel. I apologize to all you people who hate snakes no matter what I say. I cannot make you like them. But I am just asking you to educate yourself and prepare if you come across one. They are out sunning this time of year. Just leave them alone. If it is possible to take a pic of the snake you see, please send it to my messenger and I will identify it for you asap! But please do not chop its head off and then send me the pic. It’s too sad for me to see. Enjoy springtime and all it has to offer ( minus the pollen allergies). And let me help you learn NOT to fear all snakes. If you want to learn more and see some snakes (in cages) please come to Farmer School’s fun day on April 27th. We will have many of our snakes there. There will also be fun games for the kids, an auction, talent show, and delicious chicken pie supper!
