Cane Corso sisters, Hope Ann and Rousey Lee, came in for a private lesson to work on their leash manners, focus skills, and foundation obedience commands. Such a nice family to work with!
Pictured:
Ally teaching Hope “look” and practicing “touch” from one hand to the other with Rousey. Both girls learned how to find the “heel” position using a food lure.

Keep them safe tonight! Samantha’s crew is stress free because their mom follows a few simple rules and exercises the proper precautions. What a great looking patriotic pack!

ADVANCED PUP
For Best Puppy Class Grads
Congratulations—you’ve built a solid foundation, and now it’s time to level up!
In Advanced Pup, you’ll strengthen your connection with your dog while developing essential focus skills and adding new behavior words to your training toolkit.
You’ll learn how to work through distractions and build more reliable responses to your commands—all while keeping training fun and motivating.
Your puppy’s journey is just getting started—and it only gets better from here!

LOOSE LEASH WALKING
Ready for a better walk?
This upbeat and highly focused class will change how you and your dog move together. Through fun, easy-to-learn exercises, you'll teach your dog to stay connected with you—even in real-life distractions. Each week builds on the last, using games and challenges that keep training interesting and rewarding for both ends of the leash. With only 5 students per class, you’ll get the personal attention you need to succeed. Say goodbye to pulling—and hello to teamwork .

OB 102
Best Class Ever!
Advanced training begins HERE—where all your new training skills finally come together. You'll sharpen your timing, voice tone, body posture, and leash handling-the key skills every great trainer uses to get reliable responses, even with distractions and distance. Learn when to reward and when to ask for just a little more before rewarding, so your dog stays engaged and eager to work. We will cover interesting canine behavior topics, how to use the 'clicker' motivational tool along with learning the Place command and other new words. Come train with us.

BEST PUPPY CLASS
This is the perfect time to start
your puppy’s training journey!
Pups must have at least their 1st DHP+P & Bordetella. They must remain current on their vaccine schedule throughout the course.
The Training Room is sanitized at 5:00.
Safety is always our concern.
In this fun, family-friendly class, you’ll learn how to jump-start your pup’s learning and build clear communication from the very beginning. We’ll cover house-training, crate training, mouthing, socialization, and introduce all the core obedience commands. Your pup will also practice focus and recall games, polite greetings, and navigating fun obstacles. It all wraps up with our crowd-favorite “Puppy Rally” Games Graduation night.

OB 101
Beginner Obedience
Foundations that last a lifetime.
This 6-week beginner obedience course covers all the essential commands your dog needs to be a well-mannered companion. You’ll also learn key focus exercises to help you redirect unwanted behavior into the behavior you want. We’ll guide you step by step in building clear communication, teaching polite greetings, and understanding important canine behavior insights that every dog parent should know.
This class is upbeat, supportive,
and designed for your success.

Bo the and Teddy the were just two of our most recent Advanced Puppy grads. I snapped a picture of Bo striking a pose with his #1 fan and working on a challenging recall exercise. Teddy wanted to show off his adorable Dr. Seuss hairdo to the world. He demoed “touch” and “come” for me with his family on graduation night.

We added a little bit of distance to our “stay” command last night by walking out to the end of our leashes. It’s important to fight the urge to ask for too much too quickly when working with dogs. Good job everyone 🤗.

1.) Possum the cattle dog learning how to do an open-handed “off” in his OB 101 class last night. He’s such a laid back guy that his life motto seems to be “if it can be done standing, it can also be done laying down.”
2.) Hudson (right) brought his brother Levi (left) to school with him for show-and-tell last night. I’m going to point out the obvious fact that they’d both just been groomed earlier that day and were looking extra dapper.
3,) Effie learning that the word “come” simply means: stop what you’re doing and start moving towards me. She’s so cute, it looks like she should make squeaky cartoon sounds when she walks.

There were so many pictures to sift through and share from our Obedience 101 graduation that I’m afraid I’ve missed some.

1-3.) Dottie looks like she is as proud of her dog school diploma as she would be if she’d just gotten a doctorate degree from collage. She did an impressive sit/stay while her mom tossed tennis ball as a distraction.
4 & 5.) Tyson doing a sit stay while his mom went from a standing position to kneeling on one knee. He sent me a picture of his post-grad party at home with his diploma.
6. & 7.) Lilith always made me feel good about myself no matter how bad of a day I was having. I’ve never met anyone who was as excited to see me each week as Lilith was.
8. & 9.) Sadie exercised perfect table manners while having some graduation cake. This is the only class where I’ve ever felt the need to have a “backup cake” incase one of the dogs managed to swallow it whole. That’s the reason Miss Sadie is the only one pictured with the cake! I needed both hands for holding the plate (and guarding the cake) and didn’t have a spare to take pictures.
10.-12.) Lola was also very lady like while eating cake. She did a perfect down/stay while her mom went from standing to sitting, posed for a family photo, and was flat out exhausted when it was time for a picture with her certificate.

We got to see some new fuzzy faces at Southern Tails last night. Lucy, Josie, Daisy, Possum, Effie, and Hudson (who I didn’t get a picture of 😣) had their first night of Obedience 101. After class, Lucy’s mom sent us this text message and picture of Lucy on her ride home from school. Sleepy little baby 🐾 💤.
