During National Zookeeper Week, we want to recognize our exceptional habitat staff, past and present, for their care of our furry, feathered and scaled friends!

Our keepers go above and beyond to ensure the upkeep of our wildlife habitats and the well-being of our resident animals. We thank them, this week and every week, for their unwavering commitment to the creatures that call this special place home!

To our keepers and aquarists who:

Transport animals, run safety drills, respond to midnight alarms, support conservation, target-feed, dive tanks, care for injured animals, monitor welfare, replicate natural habitats, promote genetic diversity, clean glass, shed the tears, administer medication, brave excessive heat, keep species from extinction, provide palliative care, train behaviors, teach about animals, backwash filters, recycle, rake yards, mentor the next generation, chop all the vegetables, monitor nitrates, treat wounds, collect f***l samples, maintain pumps, deal with the smells, plant the plants, pull the weeds, research care, siphon gravel, provide enrichment, record data, and passionately care for our animals each and every day...
