❄️🌨️⚠️ Attention: Winter Closures and Delays ⚠️❄️🌨️

Please note that we will be closed for a staff meeting today, January 9th, from 12:30 PM to 2:45 PM.

Additionally, we are closely monitoring the winter weather forecast. Depending on conditions, we may need to close by 3:00 PM on Friday to ensure our staff can travel home safely. If weather conditions become hazardous sooner, we may need to close earlier. We will provide an update Friday evening regarding our plans for Saturday.

Rest assured, if we remain closed, we will have dedicated staff members who will either brave the drive, snowshoe their way, or stay overnight to care for our patients in the hospital.

Greet and assist pet owners with appointments and inquiries
Schedule appointments and manage patient records
Answer calls and emails with care and professionalism
Provide information about services, treatments, and products
Preferably with Strong communication skills
Previous customer service or veterinary experience is a plus
Compassion for animals and their owners
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

🐾 Important Pet Health Alert – Vaccines 🐾

Raccoons in Nag's Head have tested positive for Canine Distemper, a viral disease that can affect dogs and other animals. If you're planning to travel or just want to keep your pets safe, please make sure your pets are up to date on their vaccinations. Not sure? We're here to help!

Additionally, 2024 has already seen an increase in rabies cases across North Carolina, with several wildlife species testing positive. Be sure to keep your pets' rabies vaccinations current, as this deadly disease can spread through wildlife like raccoons, bats, and foxes.

Take steps to discourage wildlife from approaching your home, and if you spot any animals that appear unwell, contact Animal Control immediately.

Stay safe, and keep your pets protected! 🐶💉
