I just can't anymore.
We have truly lost our way and our humanity. Blowing children's faces off, police officers scared of guns (if you didn't believe that before Uvalde, you should absolutely believe it after it), going into night clubs and killing people because YOU don't like what THEY are doing, going into churches and stores killing people because you don't like the color of their skin or THEIR religion. This is how toddlers and adolescents act when they don't get their way. And it's the most powerful people in our country, politicians and millionaires/billionaires, LEADING the charge on ALL of this violence.
We are so broken 💔
The Reconsidered Goods Board of Directors and Staff are horrified and devastated by the shooting that occurred at Club Q, a LGBTQIA+ nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado on the eve of Trans Day of Remembrance. Our hearts go out to the victims, their families, friends, and communities grieving this loss of life and loss of safety.
The timing of this tragedy is also a painful reminder of the transgender, non-binary, and other LGBQTIA+ people whose lives have been lost to violence.
We are committed as an organization to stand up to homophobia, transphobia, and all identity-based hate crimes. We reaffirm our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and reiterate our support for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Triad.
