Two hour delay at school 🥱

I’m not terribly focused on my business crafts right now, so I am wandering.

We have a Habitat for Humanity Restore nearby that I love to stroll through. Today I scored a beautiful leaning bookcase that matches all our dark/cherry furniture that needs just a tiny bit of TLC and will be excellent for our family’s plant obsession.

I also scored some really nice blankets with embroidered monograms that I can easily remove and embroider something better onto. I had to stop myself from bringing home a bunch of glass to etch…I really love glass.

Sometimes I wish I was able to stay in one lane in order to stay niched into my fabric-based business and just make and sell in that medium…but I just love *making*.

I wasn't exactly happy with Powerful, so I kept at it. I think this one is much better and will hopefully still embroider well.

Aaaaaand finished two more designs to digitize for embroidery :) I'll be using fabric markers and watery paint brushes to do the colors after the machine does its thing. I'm not sure if all the little hash marks on the fox will translate. We'll see!

I’m barfing rainbows today. LOOK how flipping cute the pet bow ties are turning out so far! I still need to add the center wrap to this batch, but my model Peaches is wearing a complete bow. That’s the cat and small dog size though lol so I’ll make some size large that work better for big puppers 😍

Visual tweaking continues - but I do feel as though I'm zeroing in on how I want Threadcraftian to look and feel as we grow in new and exciting ways! As always, though, it's still Finn and I until the wheels fall off, creating joy as we go :)

I think my ultimate goal for Threadcraftian is something like a short bus. Like those mobile libraries, you know? Except it is it’s own booth to pull into festivals, it’s own office, it’s own workshop, it’s own showroom. It also scratches that itch of having a home on wheels that is owned/paid off. A roof I control without a bank/debt involved feels like safety/freedom.

We have a new look! We decided to separate the geek gear from the pretty stuff to stop splitting the fabric-buying budget. I may begin a new branch for that sweet girly stuff in the future, but I know who my tribe is - and we're getting laser focused!
