Arwen’s classic Scottish Fold sitting posture never ceases to remind me of the Buddha. She’s a pretty zen kitty.
Cat fact: The selective breeding that creates the breed standard fold ears of Scottish Fold cats results in a compromised hip and spine structure that gives these cats their buddha-like sitting posture.

Anyone ready to add some kittens to their family? Tom and Johnsie are two 5-6 month old kittens waiting for a forever home. They are sweet, and friendly and really need to get out of their cage. I met them today, and they are just lovely. You’ll find these kittens at Patton Avenue Pet Co South (582 Hendersonville Rd, Asheville)
Meow Cat Sitting will pitch in $50 of free cat sitting to anyone in South Asheville or Arden who adopts these babies. Adopters must be in our service area, of course.

Y'all know I am a big fan of perfume free, dust free natural cat litters.
You and your cats deserve a healthy, dust-free home, and no one wants their home smelling like "cat".
I recently tested Catalyst cat litter (20lb bag). 1/2 bag lasted my one cat nearly a month. It clumps really well, is not dusty at all. Low tracking - especially if you have a litter-mat, rug or towel outside the litterbox.
I especially like that there's no dust and no smell. Fresh out of the bag it smells like pine and sand, and after nearly a month of use it still didn't stink. No overwhelming perfume or "cat" smell in my home. No ammonia smell. No dust clouds when scooping. Upon exiting his litter box Kit-E, my cat, didn't smell like cat litter perfume, and wasn't covered in dust.
The litter has a consistency somewhat like damp beach sand, so it doesn't travel far. Easy to sweep or vacuum up the litterbox area. Monthly litter box clean out was really easy. Just dump the litter, rinse the box with warm water and wipe out any litter residue. Highly recommended.
