Is it just me or do you think fall is a chickens favorite season too!? 🍂•We love “opening the gates” to fresh pasture for our farm animals! Seeing them immediately go-to-town on all the new bugs and forage gives us such joy! These girls are rotated throughout the Oakley pastures every 3 days so that they are never in one spot for too long. This ensures that the ground doesn’t become bare. The agitation from these hens encourages new growth, thus IMPROVING the areas they live on, not depleting them.
