ARTIST SPOTLIGHT Saturday, May 25th with the super talented at ✨6 to 9PM ✨

Sara Simpson is a fiber artist in Rock Hill, SC. Her primary medium is crochet, but she enjoys incorporating other fiber mediums into her work. Sara enjoys the tactile experience crochet brings to both the artist’s process and to the viewer.

Sara typically uses basic stitches to create her work; relying on the colors and weight of the yarn to convey emotion in each piece. Texture plays a large part in Sara’s process. In addition to using traditional yarn (acrylic, cotton, wool, etc.), she has also used unconventional material as “yarn”. This includes plastic bags, plastic flagging tape, old t-shirts, and old bed sheets. More recently, Sara has begun to incorporate needle felting into her work to add another layer of texture.

We are so excited!!!

Maxx Feist is a self taught artist from Asheville who currently lives in the swamplands of Georgia. Maxx returns to Horse and Hero for their Artist Spotlight series. Maxx is bringing a collection of wild, weird, neo-pop, bright pieces for our dark times, and we cannot WAIT!!!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT with the amazing .bonbon 🩷❤️ Saturday, March 9th from 6 to 9PM! We are beyond thrilled and hope to see you next Saturday ✨🎉

Haha Bonbon is made up of a mother-daughter designer duo using a variety of fabrics & fiber materials to make vintage-inspired interior goods and textile art. Michelle has been a fabric artist for over 2 decades, and has years of experience designing and sewing plush, costumes, and really anything you can imagine. She loves reality TV as much as her dogs. Rose is a maximalist designer, play expert, and a pop culture freak. Years designing for children’s museums together re-ignited a passion for playful objects and wanting more fun in their own homes- and others! They both love colors, pattern, and most of all - laughing. Michelle has developed custom sewn patterns to create extremely dependable heirloom-quality soft sculptures and plush. Rose leads the tufted yarn process, creating durable home goods including pillows, bolsters, and rugs using 100% wool yarns. Together they're designing bright, fun, and funny soft objects for your world!

So excited!!!! And applications for the July 6/7 are open!
