What It Is:

The American Relief Act, 2025, provides for $2 billion in emergency relief payments to livestock producers suffering losses due to drought, wildfires, or flooding in calendar years 2023 and 2024.
How It Works:

The Emergency Livestock Relief Program (ELRP) is administered as two programs:

Emergency Livestock Relief Program (ELRP) 2023 and 2024 Drought and Wildfire, announced in May, compensates producers who suffered eligible grazing losses due to drought and wildfire in 2023 and/or 2024.
Emergency Livestock Relief Program (ELRP) 2023 and 2024 Flood and Wildfire helps offset increased supplemental feed costs due to qualifying floods or wildfires on non-federally managed land in 2023 and/or 2024.

These programs are administered separately as they provide compensation for different losses and have different eligibility requirements and payment calculations.

If you had loss from Helene in a qualifying county and own livestock, you are eligible to apply!

Lespedeza pellets provide natural parasite control to help you win the war against internal parasites in small ruminants. Lespedeza has been proven to effectively manage barber pole worms in goats and sheep while also providing an affordable source of protein. Goats love it! These pellets are made from a minimum of 98% leaf meal from sericea lespedeza and not more than 2% molasses/lignin binder. Research has shown that sericea lespedeza pellets control barber pole worm and coccidia in goats and sheep, as well as when used with fresh material or hay. In pellet form, sericea lespedeza can be available year-round, even when the crop is dormant. It can provide parasite control for those unable to grow the crop for grazing or hay. Although sericea lespedeza pellets may not eliminate the need for pharmaceutical drugs, they offer a natural alternative while providing an easier method of controlling parasites. Feeding sericea lespedeza pellets should reduce the frequency of pharmaceuticals needed. Try Sericea Lespedeza Pellets for your parasite control problems. Your animals will be glad you did! Begin feeding at a rate of 2-2.5% of body weight per day, in addition to the current ration and grazing. It is advisable to monitor animals during the weaning process to determine if trace minerals need to be added to their diet. For known worm problems, increase the feed to a minimum of 50% of the daily ration for at least two weeks. Feeding a high proportion of the total feed to young/weaning animals is recommended, as they have the highest risk of infection.
