We are glad to see some rain today and this weekend. We desperately needed it for pastures, air quality, and fire suppression. If you need seed, lime, fertilizer, feed and supplies our drive-through is a great way to gather what you need on a rainy day.

Fly control should begin now. Fly mineral should begin early enough for the mineral to pass through your livestock. It needs to be in manure before flies start to lay eggs to keep these pests under control. AgCare has Stockade fly mineral in stock today.

Tariffs are affecting the replacement cost of metals, chemicals, and other imported goods. We have a variety of products, including barbed wire, fencing, and chemicals, which we purchased before the price increase. When we buy more, prices will be higher. If you will need these items, you may want to stock up now.

AgCare is bringing in Bulk fertilizer impregnated with DuraCor Herbicide. Duracor stops up-and-growing weeds while providing residual control of those that germinate later. You can buy DuraCor liquid herbicide from AgCare anytime to spray at our convenience. We bring in impregnated fertilizer as ordered and can save you money if you tie your order with others coming at the same time. We plan to bring some in next week. Impregnated fertilizer tends to clump if it sits, so it must be spread immediately upon arrival.

Through special state funding, the NC Department of Ag is waiving all predictive and diagnostic laboratory fees (soil testing, plant tissue analysis, nematode assay, waste & compost analysis, solution analysis and soilless media analysis).

This waiver is applicable only for samples collected in the 27 officially designated counties impacted by Hurricane Helene, through June 30, 2025.

To utilize these funds, clients must list one of designated counties on the sample submission form. The counties are: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Clay, Cleveland, Gaston, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Lincoln, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mecklenburg, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Swain, Transylvania, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey.
