We ask that you
1️⃣ NEVER declaw your cat, even if your vet has a fancy expensive laser machine and claims it’s less painful (that’s a huge lie, btw).
2️⃣ Only give your business to vet clinics that NEVER declaw cats.
3️⃣ Please spread the word about how barbaric and inhumane declaw surgery is. The Paw Project has an amazing 1 hour film that everyone should watch.
4️⃣ Regularly trim your cat’s nails and provide appropriate scratching options.

I'm super excited to share this post! I have been working on this for a long time. I wanted to first give a shout out to my inspirations if I may. I was inspired to create this after seeing the awesome Play Infographic work of Doggie Drawings by Lili Chin and Dr. Mikel Delgado of What Your Cat Wants, but that inspiration combined with getting to know .png’s art really brought it together. This is the same artist who has created images for my Fundamentally Feline t-shirts and other swag items. She is so talented! My hope is to bring you an entire series of these on a variety of topics (in all of my spare time!)

We recently took our sweet “silver fox” Jonsi to a fundraiser for Asheville Humane Society , and he met his cat crush Captain Patch !!🧡

Captain and his purrents are totally pawsome! Captain is a distinguished senior adventure cat who LOVES meeting new people (and pups!).

We met him in Portland, OR years ago when he was traveling with Acrocats and raising money for Tuna and The Rock Cats Rescue. We were smitten!

Captain Patch spreads love and shares the sweetest little one-eyed smile wherever he goes! 🥰

Toonces lives only blocks from our former Portland home, and now that we’re in North Carolina, she’s 2700 miles away! 🥲 We love keeping in touch w/ her purrrents & receiving adorable photos like this one! She just loves her supervised garden time!

The Cat Protection Bill, which would BAN DECLAWING statewide, is being voted on next week by the state assembly!

The CA Veterinary Medical Association will fight this with all their might in an effort to keep performing this barbaric procedure. They are the only opposition to this bill. Maming cats is a lucrative business they don’t want to lose.

Greetings from our 2700 mile cross-country road trip!! 🚙 Wanted to say HELLO and tell you that we are thinking of all of you and miss our connection!

We’re en route to Asheville, NC with our fur family! Arthur😼, BeeBee😺, Harmony😻, Bernie🐱, Riley Jo 😽 and Jonsi 🐶 are doing great! Although exhausting, everything has been smooth thus far. We have a “method to our madness” that seems to be working well… It’s day 3 (of 4.5) of our driving/lodging and we are all pretty tired and ready to land, sit still and be “normal.”

Wanted to share a few pics of the crew in the mini van & at the motels along the way. They are serious champs! We are proud mamas.☺️

Happy Caturday!
With spring🌷in the air comes hope, change, growth and new beginnings.
As many of you know by now, we're relocating to the east coast - Asheville, NC to be exact! 🚚📦

Obviously, this won’t affect everyone, but it’s bittersweet💔 for us to leave ROAR’s birth place and a community of cat parents who embraced our idea from the very beginning. Many of you have supported us from our inception as a “brick & mortar” on Alberta Street to our evolution as an online shop. Portland and its people will always hold a special place in our 💞hearts.

We’ll be open for orders today & tomorrow, but we’ll be CLOSING our shop for the month of MAY while moving and getting our new ROAR headquarters up and running.

Please stay tuned for updates about our re-opening date.🗣🗓

Thank you for sticking with us on this journey. We look forward to the next phase with all of you by our side! After all, it's your love & commitment to your cat family that makes ROAR possible.🙏🏽🤗

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has just signed the Anti-Declaw bill today!!

Maryland joins New York as the 2nd state to ban this barbaric procedure.

A BIG THANK YOU to all those who participated in our “Cats For Peace” Ukraine fundraiser for .shelter 💙💛 We’re overwhelmed with the amount of kindness/support that poured in from cat lovers like YOU!! 🤗
We raised $230 from 50 the toys and direct donations.
We sold out of all the adorable, homemade catnip toys in 36 hours but their maker, has supurrr cute “Ukraine Heart” Catnip Toys and will have this same toys in the next few weeks. Arthur is a lover, not a fighter❗️and that’s why he’s asking you to participate in our “Cats For Peace” Ukraine Animal Rescue Fundraiser.

Recipient is:
.shelter - The shelter, where 700 cats & dogs are cared for has been under siege- shot at multiple times, resulting in death and injuries. They have been without electricity and water for over 2 weeks and struggle to get food deliveries. So far, donations have helped with getting a generator, food and vet care.
