🎉 It’s official! She beeps!

❤️ Some of you may remember this girl. She was found in Swannanoa after the hurricane this fall. She now goes by Bellatrix (aka Trixie). She has been officially MICROCHIPPED and is settling in well at her new home.

💜 Microchipping is an easy one-time procedure that consists of inserting a microchip under the skin of cats and dogs. If she were lost and then found, a veterinarian or animal shelter could scan her to look for her microchip. When they look up her number they see her owner’s name, phone number, +/- address so she can be returned home quickly.

💚 We use mini microchips, so the needle is about the same size as we use to give fluids under the skin. Trixie did not even flinch; she was more interested in the peanut butter in front of her!
