Love seeing all smiles at the vet!!! I want to give a huge shout out to Mr James with Ilio Canine Care. He started as Tucker’s trainer before his epilepsy diagnosis and has been on this journey with us the entire time. Tucker loves him some Mr James. But he isn’t just a dog trainer. He was so much more than that from the start. Tucker is people selective but he bonded with Mr James from day one. Him and his wife have come at all hours of the day and night to assist us on several occasions when Tucker was clustering beyond his normal events. Tucker has a wonderful team around him and Mr James is at the top of that list.

Tucker has always had a lot of anxiety about going to the vet but he does much better when Mr James takes him in so he assisted us today. And thanks to him Tuck did great and was super calm so I am so proud of him.

Tucker has developed a lump above his left shoulder. When he was in a few weeks ago it was only about two centimeters and his vet was very confident it was just a fatty tumor. Tucker has several of them that get monitored. Since that time it became much more pronounced so I wanted to err on the side of caution and get an X-ray. Tucker is also licking at his incision site again from his injury at the emergency vet. So I wanted to have that checked again.

The tumor was aspirated and was confirmed to be a fatty tumor. It had grown to 4 cm since his visit just a few weeks ago. An xray was also done and the joint and bones looked great not even any signs of arthritis or anything. His Incision Is Irritated and Inflamed so he Is going back on the antibiotics and anti-Inflammatory meds and unfortunately back to the cone. We want to avoid having to go back in surgically again but if not better next month that may be required.

Tucker has been going to Dr Blair for about six years now and he is exceptional with his care. They are very in tune with not just his medical conditions but his anxiety as well at the vet and go above and beyond to work with him.

We are beyond grateful to have Mr James and Hendersonville Veterinary Hospital as well as everyone else involved in Tucker’s care as we truly could not navigate this journey without them. We are sooo blessed. 💜🐾💜
