We have very sad news to share with our Ilio community... my sweet boy Arthur passed away over the weekend unexpectedly from cancer at 11 years of age.
Those of you who got to know Arthur and meet him, knew how radiant and incredible a soul he was.
Over the last 10 years, I've lost count of how many students he worked with, helping with their training Journeys, but it was well into the hundreds both in Georgia, the Carolinas, and throughout the region.
He enjoyed his work, and knew within moments of meeting a dog how to help them with me. His calm and gentle nature while working was such a guiding point for many dogs who were just trying to understand how to interact and socialize.
For many of our students, he was not only another dog to meet, but a gateway to a bigger world.
He showed so many that they didn't have to be afraid, and was both a fellow student and teacher to so many of them.
