Congratulations to Gracie & Roxie and Annie & Czar for placing for the year at the FRC dressage and CT shows!

Gracie won the Junior Intro division with Radical Roxie

Annie placed second in the Starter CT with Czardus

So proud of these girls and how hard they have worked to get here.

Fiddle and I placed fourth in First level for the year as well.

Looking forward to the spring and starting a new show season in new divisions.

Squeezed in one last show for the year at the Harmon Classic Holiday Premiere at TIEC. Both riders stepped up a level and did a fantastic job!

Annie and Czar went around the 2ā€™6ā€ for the first time making it look easy and placing 2nd and 6th.

Gracie and Roxie made their 2ā€™ jumper rounds look like the most fun ever placing 4th and 5th. Amazing courses for their first time at 2ā€™ at a show.

The moon was so huge and bright last night that it almost looked like the sun ā˜€ļø it definitely eased the fact that it was dark before we were done with our lesson.

It is such a wonderful thing to have an amazing barn family that was willing to step in and do a bit of rebuilding after the hurricane.

The time spent cleaning up debris in the fields and helping me take care of horses so that I can work on repairing fences has been very much appreciated. A special thanks to the people who built jumps as well.

Hey Yā€™all! Just a reminder for the jump painting party tomorrow which starts at 3 PM. We will have hamburgers, hotdogs, black bean burgers and sā€™mores. If you would like to bring anything, sides would be great or a dessert of some kind. Canā€™t wait to see everyone and donā€™t forget your costume! šŸŽƒ

Thankful that the horses are all safe and the barn was on high ground so it never flooded. The water came up higher than this overnight but luckily has now almost fully receded.

We will be cutting trees and rebuilding fencing but overall we are intact. With no power we are still taking it day by day and will keep everyone posted on how things are progressing to get back to normal.

Wonderful show at Biltmore this weekend!

Started on Saturday with the Hunter show. Lilly and Pony did a lovely job in walk/trot poles placing third across the board. So happy for how much progress Lilly made from the last show to this one.

Sunday was the jumper show with so much fun jumping around! Sunny and Athena did a great job in the 2ā€™3ā€ and 2ā€™6ā€ classics. Annie and Czar jumped around the 2ā€™3ā€ placing first and second getting to be the only ones to do the jump off.

Such a great weekend and looking forward to the set of shows!

Another FRC show in the books. Some amazing moments and fantastic progress with a few hiccups to start the day.

Czar and Annieā€™s dressage test started the day with an overall lovely ride and much improved geometry.

Athena was a true young horse getting tense in the chaos of the warmup and having a hard time letting that go in her test. There were beautiful moments and a lot of progress despite the moment of ā€œI donā€™t fit in the arenaā€.

Roxie and Gracie had two lovely tests with so much more relaxation and so many amazing moments.

Fiddle had his best test at First 2 finally starting to find a steady rhythm and balance throughout the entire test.

So glad to see progress for everyone at this show and looking forward to the next one!

Happy Motherā€™s Day šŸ’ž

Happy Motherā€™s Day to the moms that make sure their kids get to lessons, that groom horses that theyā€™re not riding, that balance crazy schedules to make sure there is barn time, that make sure helmets and boots make it to riding, that cheer on ring side after getting to the barn at 5 AM for a horse show, and that support the rider that their child has always wanted to be.

The riders are lucky to have you and I am thankful for all you do to make things run smoothly šŸ©·

Last night we schooled in the rain and rode in sloppy footing this morning but luckily ended up with a beautiful day and an amazing show!
