Starting Shear N Shine
At a very young age I knew I wanted to work with animals. Every stray animal, or believed to be stray, was my newest furry friend and special project. At 19 I started working for a zoo, working my way into becoming a reptile handler followed by working in a kennel where I had my first hands on grooming experience. The following years I was working for multiple grooming shops, working out of my home and others, clipping and bathing fur babies of all shapes and sizes until finally, in 2013 I purchased Shear-N-Shine. From there it was full steam ahead with renovating a store front, delving into the world of small, local business and all while raising my two sweetest girls, Nevaeh and Ariah on our very own mini-farm (chicks and pigs included!) We’ve tripled our clientele, if not more so, in the last 5 years and I have prided myself in building strong, personal and professional relationships with most-if not all- of my Shear-N-Shine family. We are continually grateful for the support of our community and those who have helped myself, my family, and this business, thrive in such a competitive profession. To those old and new to Shear-N-Shine, I would like to reassure you that we are an ever growing and changing business, so any insight, comments or suggestions are more than welcome, as I am forever striving to provide you all with the best quality care for your lovely fur babies.
