Voting is an important right that we all have. If you feel uncomfortable or nervous about entering a polling place by yourself and need additional support, please join us at Weaverville Community Center. We will have a table set up Nov 1st (12PM-2PM), Nov 2nd (9AM-12PM), and Nov 5th (8AM-7:30PM) with resources, water, and snacks. We will also have the ability for someone to walk into the WCC if you feel uncomfy by yourself. Please come out and exercise your right to vote!

Dear Pawsitivity Pack, We did it! Our Water filtration system is in and testing came back clean!
We’ve reopened with regular hours, 8-6 Mon-Sat with ALL SATURDAYS BEING PAY WHAT YOU CAN. Full grooming is by appointment and we are taking WALK-IN NAIL TRIMS on Saturdays on a pay what you can basis. We will offer this as long as we can afford to, doing our part to help support our community through what we expect to be a hard end of year. Dear Pawsitivity Pack,
We are so honored to be a part of this strong community. We’ve been awed and humbled by the amount of love we see shared on a daily basis as we come together as neighbors and friends. We see you Asheville, showing up with all the positive energy you hold and it is awe inspiring. As a staff we discussed what we can do to show up for our community with our skill set in these coming months as we rebuild. Helene hurt everyone, and we agreed unanimously, your pets need and deserve our care and expertise regardless of ability to pay. When we reopen ALL SATURDAYS will be by donation only. We will be scheduling appointments in advance for all basic grooming and will also provide walk-in nail trimming. I’m so honored as a business owner to have the absolutely incredible staff that I have; and the level of expertise that they offer. We understand that going through this experience has been traumatic for everyone, and that having our dogs by our sides supporting us through it is a source of individual strength. Our friends in the community are helping us get it installed, and as soon as it’s in and we can evaluate the resulting pressure and color we will have an answer for you on a reopening date. We are so excited to share that we finally see a light at the end of the tunnel 🤩 We have a small amount of water running through our pipes! We are in the process of ordering and installing the best filteration system we can get so that when our pressure is restored we will have safe water to bathe your pets with. water crews are connecting the 36-inch main to service in the community starting at those homes closest to the North Fork Reservoir, and as they go, water will begin flowing. This water will have a lot of sediment, so turn off those ice makers! Thank you to these crews for working around the clock!

𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚!

At 1 a.m. on Thursday, 𝙏&𝙆 𝙐𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 connected North Fork's 36-inch bypass line to the water distribution system. While that is a significant milestone, there remains a lot of work to do before customers will start receiving water. Repairs continue on the badly damaged water distribution system and Water Resources is working with the EPA and engineering firms on ways to clear up the highly murky water in North Fork's reservoir. Full service restoration is still weeks away, but we are grateful to have completed the first major step forward.

Dear Pawsitivity Pack, we are closed indefinitely while we await the repair of Asheville City water infrastructure. My staff and I are claiming disaster unemployment and are spending our time caring for ourselves, each other, and our community. We are blessed to be able to say that each of us has weathered the storm without major damage to our personal property or to the spa. This has been an emotional and difficult period for us, as I know it has been for you and your families. August has lived in Black Mountain and Asheville for 25 years, Heidi has lived in Asheville, Leicester and Fletcher for 16 years, I’ve lived in many places in the asheville area for 14, Kristyn has been in Leicester and Asheville for 12 and Paige moved here to join our team 2 years ago. We are all so proud of our mountain home, the grit of the people getting up everyday and doing hard work to help their neighbors and community through this tragedy is inspiring and healing. Our hearts are broken for WNC but we continue to offer love and light through the cracks. We are so grateful for you all and look forward to being able to see you all love on your puppies as soon as we have the ability.
