Annie’ Legacy

For most of her life, Annie was a barn cat at Eliada Homes in Asheville NC, an agency that’s been around since 1903 providing children’s mental health and family services to Western North Carolina. But Annie was much more than just a barn cat. The entire campus was her domain and she loved to be around the staff, visitors, and children served at Eliada. She was truly an ambassador and left an impact on hundreds of people; so much so that she once received a “Shining Star” which was a award given to staff quarterly to recognize outstanding performance. She was the only four-legged staff member to ever receive it. She crossed over the rainbow bridge in August 2019 after living a long and adventurous 18 years. Annie will always remain in the hearts of the hundreds of people that knew her.
