PLEASE HELP LOCATE:

VAN STOLEN WITH DOGS INSIDE -- PORTLAND OREGON

Please anyone in Portland Oregon or near please share this post and be on the lookout .... Vandra Huber and Cheryl James van was stolen in Portland OR from their hotel -- Mercedes Metros (Blue Color)... DOGS ARE IN THE VEHICLE. There are four show dogs, two Scottie black brindle puppies, a black Scottie bitch and a wheaten Cairn. All are Microchipped. They are in red metal 200 dog crates.

There is a temporary license plate with regular plates in car that they could put on Temp E0768146 Regular CFU1337.

Please share as much as possible!!!

December 3 ... It's been 9years today since she left. She has visited a few times in special ways Her amazing get & grand get are all with her now, too. Huge hole will always be left in my world .. but, ohhh the magnifiscent memories she left me with. Thank you, to Katoba Dobermans' grand Matriarch, "ECHO".
Miss her EVERY day and cannot wait to see her and all the others again someday ... on the other side.

It is with an heavy heart, that I share the news of the passing of a very special boy. Imy heart is truly aching for all of us who adored him, especially Greg and Debbie Jankanish, the best family he could have ever hoped for. Rest in Peace, you amazing guy ... So much love for you, big guy.

I have posted this before & I will never stop posting this. The people in this room are disrespectful & don't deserve to be present. Worse yet, is the chair speaker, who claimed to have a career in pharmaceuticals & then laughed at the veterinarian (who has the same and far more). Big pharm loses money if the truths are exposed &/or if vaccinations become less or unnecessary. If her claim is true, that makes her a conflict of interest in this matter. The vet loses money by not providing this service. This IS more about money for the chair, big pharm, corporate 'care' ... But not for the truly contentious care provider. This Veterinarian is fighting for what is right, healthiest, and is willing to loss money to do the best for those he cares for. iparallel this to human care as well (but that's a different battle altogether).
TITRES prove immunity. If you truly love your pet (or child), DONT BE HERDED in by ignorance, but instead ... Before injecting your beloved pet with potentially fatal substances, run titres. The results could save a life or prevent further harm !!!

It with the heaviest of heart, that I share, at 4:30pm EST, this magnificent soul went peacefully to the other side. He deserves more wonderful words than am able to muster . One of THE most True Doberman souls that I have ever known.HUGE loss to the breed as he gave so selflessly to both humans and other dogs.
As his breeder, I had the pleasure of being his conformation handler and was blessed to be part of his life throughout his nearly 12.5 years He adored his entire family, young and "not young" ;). Forever in my prayers will be the late Edward Becker III, Michelle Mitchell, Adele Santomero Mitchell and Jeffrey M Mitchell. I have grown to love you all and if it weren't for this precious dog, our paths would likely have never crossed.
I have no words for the way my heart feels right now. That said, may he run and play with all who have crossed the rainbow bridge before him. "I love you and will see you on the other side, Vedder. Until we meet again ..."

Breeders, really??? Come on.
Two days ago, I received a call from a woman named Ilona, from Alberta Canada, who was greiving the loss of one of her two Dobermans. Cancer had gotten so bad, she had to make the decision to put her 7 year old girl down. She was in deep mourning, but her biggest concern was her other Doberman, who had issues of anxiety and was very attached to the now deceased canine friend. Ilona was still in painful grief but was looking for advice; looking to breeders who had just some knowledge of loss and how to address the best care for the other dog. She contacted breeders listed in her area, then contacted the CKC. They referred her to many who offered to sell her another dog. Then she was referred to someone who gave her dogs a "Reading" over the phone. She was then referred to the AKC and then the the PNW area for breeder referral. She was so distraught not only by the loss of her dog and worry for her other dog, but now by the "pass the buck" and high pressured sales ... When all she really needed was someone to listen and maybe, just maybe, be willing to give her some advise.
As I listened to her short voicemail, I could hear the painful tension in her throat as she left her name and number and request for sharing if I had experience in this area.
Wow ... Experience with loss of a dog ... God didn't have to send a much bigger sign than that.
I called Ilona, spoke with her for about 15 minutes, and as we hung up with a sense of calm ... Something struck me as concerning. I remember after the fire, everyone told me to get another dog. I even found myself in the horrible position of having to return a puppy presented to me. It was NOT the right time nor situation. In reflecting on Ilona:s situation... I couldn't help but remember that angst. Her remaining dog suffers from anxiety and needed to feel closer to her than ever ... Not pushed aside for a new puppy. She needed to find peace to she could now help her remaining dog be better, stronger, more confident. Ilona found NO comfort for respect or help from MANY 'well known breeders" who didn't seem to be interested in anything but selling her a puppy. Seriously, is THIS what has become of being a Breeder??? I actually told her that, if she had come to me with ALL the info she had shared, looking for a puppy, I would still advise against a pup and would not place one with her at that time. I find it ironic, and while gratifying to have been able to help, also disconcerting to know that the volumes of dog sales seem to takes a front seat to some breeders over simply giving of time and heart. I have not breed a litter since 2009, but that phone call made me feel like a true Breeder again.
Please join me in wishing Ilona a swift healing of heart and a strengthening of spirit for her and her male Doberman.
And please, be a Breeder, not a greeder.

I just returned from a whirlwind weekend to to the East coast to visit VEDDER (Can Int'l CH Katoba's Emerald Jam CGC CGN RN). He was the first born in my second litter and is currently 11 years 8 months of age. He doesn't have one gray hair on his face, is a pleasure to be around and I still adore him as much as the day he was born. I am so grateful to the families who, over the years, gave welcomed me until their homes so that I can keep up with some of the pups. It's a Breeder's delight.
Thank you to Michelle Mitchell Becker, Ed Becker, and Adele & Jeffrey Mitchell for the past 11+ years and the continued years of love and care you provide to this wonderful Boy !!!.

a pic from 2007 ..... I posted this almost a week ago and JUST noticed it was sitting in "query". sheesh. Anyway, this is a rugged dog month for me,s o i want to rejoice in the good things. MARCH 4 was the "Emerald Dozen" litter's 9th birthday ... This was a once in a lifetime event for me, my head never left their whelping box and then my 25 hour days were devoted solely to these amazing creatures. it was truly one of the most amazingly sweet and lovely litters anyone could have had !!! Echo and Gunther did well !!! Thanks to all involved from the crazy breeding to my last day with Misty. Each was bittersweet but an addition to my soul.Twelve pups were so much work but i would not have given up that experience for ANYTHING. I love them all and dream of each of them often heart emoticon

Thank you to everyone who has been supportive of me and the beloved dobermans in my life over the past years. I have not been active on this page much for the past 2 years or so. The fire that tragicly killed my beloved dogs and destroyed my home left me with alot to think about and many life changes to make.
Since that time, i have worked hard to put my life back together and ... start over in every way.
Due to the death of one of my Katoba Doberman owners, i have the bittersweet wonder of now having one of my own back in my life ... she is a full littermate to the ones lost in the fire and she is the apple of my eye now.
I welcome extended family members' to post photos of your Katoba Dobermans to this page and hope you enjoy watching as things evolve with Katoba Dobermans, as i begin posting to this page again.

Thank you & Congrats to all involved, especially to Lisa Carnes for all her support and encouragement on my bitch breeding to Mr. B; to Linda George, Teresa Nail, and especially Alisa Brotherhood for their expert handling of Lil'Moo; and to Elaine Richman who believed in Mischief's worthiness like we do & turned a deaf ear to those ugly-spirited-people who told her to give up on her lovely bitch.
