🐾❄️ Winter is here, and we’re doing everything we can to keep our shelter pups cozy and safe! Some of our dogs stay in outdoor kennels, even in the colder months, so SCAMP recently purchased brand-new heaters to help keep them warm through the winter nights. ❤️
This is just one example of how Saving Cheatham Animals Mission Pawsible (SCAMP) uses donations to directly help the animals — providing things the county budget doesn’t cover but are so important for their comfort and care. 🐶🐾
A quick reminder for all pet owners: when keeping outdoor dogs or cats warm, always use straw, not hay! 🌾
👉 Straw repels moisture and provides insulation, while hay can get damp and moldy.
Your donations truly make a difference — keeping tails wagging and hearts warm all winter long. 💛

Honoring Our Veterans 🇺🇸

Cheatham County Animal Shelter will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Veterans Day. We’ll reopen for normal operations the following day.

Today, we pause to honor and thank all who have served our country — your courage and sacrifice mean the world to us. ❤️🐾

🎃 Meet Clark — our Halloween heartthrob and one of Cheatham County Animal Shelter’s longest residents! 🧡 This 3-year-old Entlebucher boy (52 lbs of pure charm) has been waiting over a year for his forever home.
Clark is a super-smart cuddle bug who loves car rides, exploring, and following his favorite people everywhere. He enjoys playing with female dogs, but prefers to be the only gentleman in the pack. 🚗🐾
